I promise not to go into a this should never happen rant, but a sim I beat by 37 at home I lost to by 10 on the road...clearly better, played same D...thoughts?

You shouldn't have lost that game.  Very bad luck.  Against better defensive teams in the postseason you should definitely be giving less distro to Irby and more to Benner.  He's a beast.

You just can't be consistent with that low ath and defense. Defense is always there if you have bad offense. You just had a bad sim offensively, and the fact that you are a relatively weak defensive team made you lose. I just haven't see teams doing very well without at least a 55 team ath/def rating in division 2 unless they are really fast with good IQs and senior heavy. I do like how well you rebound the ball, definitely covers up one of the biggest holes in the zone. 

Athleticism should be your #1 target when recruiting in terms of attributes. It also doesn't help that you play a zone, which is definitely the most random defense in my opinion. You also need more shot blocking if you are gonna play a zone. You have some very good players, just need to surround them with defense.

if anything it's the other way around...these teams aren't really worlds apart, but apparently people are surprised it could happen

colonels i'd say the first game was a larger deviation than the second, your team is better but it's really not that crazy that you'd both win at home

Yeah, a loss on the road when the talent levels are this close isn't that surprising. Should he have won? Maybe, but this is far from some upset. They are fairly evenly matched in every key area.

Also, you launched way too many 3p's vs. a m2m sim team.

I would have to sort of go with WSUT's bit.  Your ATH and DEF. . .especially if you are playing a zone, I have noticed with past teams that athleticism seems almost even more important than speed, even in guards, when playing in a zone defense.

Lol, good stuff guys, thanks for all of the responses, I do appreciate it.  I'm not the best coach, but I do love this game, so I'm in for the long haul...I think...hope to wrap up this conference title and squeeze into one of the tourneys.  Take care.

It wasn't meant as a low blow.This guy only plays sims and struggles to make the pit. It was an average team playing an average sim on the road. I just don't see any team he could lose to with it being truly an upset worth making a topic over other then a ghost ship human team with 12 walk ons.
