Last Week Messed Around And Got A Triple-Double..? Topic

Random thought: I've never seen an HD triple-double.
Since Crum just had game one, player stats reflect just one game, and I came across a D2 player who went off for 16, 9 and 8 (with 4 steals and 3 blocks, or vice versa)... but I have never seen a completed triple-double.

Anyone ever have one? Or any other insanely good game...?

I've been keeping track of my team's single game records for 7-8 seasons now and their combined highs don't equal a triple double (42 pts, 22 rebs, 9 ast, 5 stls, 6 blks).

I once had a Points/Rebounds/Blocks triple double.

Haven't had double-digit assists in 7-8 seasons...?

Even in real life triple doubles don't happen often in college basketball but it's even less likely in WIS because of the much lower assist and block #s add that to the fact that players play less minutes in WIS it makes it even harder. I get excited when I see a double double with assists, if I ever get a triple double I'll probably save the boxscore, lol.

I've had a grand total of one triple double, and it was quite a long time ago in D3. Like kmason, I stlil get a kick out of double-doubles.

me too.  it was recently, in a double overtime NT game.  if the game had ended in regulation my player would have been one rebound and two blocks short.

I had a D3 PG who average 8+ apg last season, so he was pretty close a couple of times.  Had 10 double doubles or so with points and assists, but just missed with rebounds a couple of times.

something with the rebounding numbers.... i feel as if each team has a player who averages like 11+ boards per game
that isn't very realistic, some college teams have leaders with just about 7 per game

This definitely isn't the case. In all my seasons I've never had a player average 11 rebounds a game.

Right, km?

In Wooden D1, there are five people over 10 rpg, one over 11.

In Wooden D2, there are nine people  over 10 rpg, none over 11.

In Wooden D3, there are twenty people over 10 ppg, three over 11.

That is 4 teams out of 984.  Good for about 0.4% of teams.  I'd say that's about as wrong as can be.

I guess its a D3 thing, as you just demonstrated isack

Yeah, which makes some sense.  There is more talent discrepancy both inter- and intra-team.  But even then, only 6 or 7% of teams have a guy in double digits.
