Any guesses as to how much he will cost?  He currently has an OPS+ of 217 which would be the highest ever.  1953 Ted Williams has an OPS+ of 196 but that's only in 117 PA/162.  He will have dual eligibility @ 3B/OF and does not K that much for a power hitter.  Could he possibly be one of the best SIM players?

Bonds had an OPS+ over 200 six times, including a 268.

That's adjusted OPS though.

It's gonna be irrelevant.  He's dropped off every month, and his June was nothing to write home about.  Certainly a decent month, but not spectacular.  I imagine he'll end the season with a line around .320/.420/.640.  That will make him a pretty elite hitter, and depending on how his defense turns out potentially one of the best third basemen in the game.  But not better than the Ruths and Williamses and Hornsbys of the world.

I'm more excited about the pitchers of 2011, namely verlander and jered weaver. I'm also a little excited about the line Jose Reyes is putting up. Could be a great option at SS.

Not enough OBP for me.  Gonna cost WAAAYYYYYYY too much for his OBP.  But those pitchers might be really good.

I'm excited about 2011 Weaver & Verlander also.  Some of the great RP's give up way too many bombs.  Kind of like 2010 Joaquin Benoit.

Antonio Bastardo if he keeps it up. 0.76 whip and .103 OAV, 38 ks in 33 IP at the All Star Break. HR/9 sits at .545. Bb/9 a bit high at 3.82 but that might help keep his cost down.

Referring to Reyes? His 2b/100 and 3b/100 combo along with the avg makes him ideal for my offense.

Sorry, I'm not used to a "my offense" concept - if I didn't play a lot of different kinds of teams this game would bore the hell out of me.

I'm down to 1 team at a time now, and they are all for skunk's 160M league. At this cap, double triple team with high avg work well, high hr teams doesn't. Reyes's stats this season fits this mold and is going to be much cheaper than the likes of hornsby and honus wagner, while providing better defense.

And to be honest, most of the successful teams run this kind of offense.

Bautista needs to keep his average up to be successful in the sim...really looking forward to Reyes & glad he's not going to get 700 AB...

I was looking at Tyler Clippard, Johnny Venters, even Robertson from the Skanks.  Hanrahan's HR/9 is only .2 so hope he can keep up his season.  Bastardo is looking great.  Only 11 HA in 33 IP?  That's sick!

I'd be tempted to draft a guy named Bastardo even if he wasn't that great.

surprised Mike Adams isn't even mentioned here. he's putting up one heck of a season as well.
