Best Park for a Triples Team Topic

I wanted some opinions on the best park for this OL triples team:

2004 Brandon Inge              .287/.340/.453, 3b#=2
1897 Harry Davis                 .305/.359/.473, 3b#=4
1992 Luis Alicea                  .245/.320/.385, 3b#=4
2007 Akinori Iwamura         .285/.359/.411, 3b#=2
1990 Tony Fernandez         .276/.352/.391, 3b#=3
1992 Deion Sanders           .304/.346/.495, 3b#=5
2007 Curtis Granderson    .302/.361/.552, 3b#=4
1984 Dave Collins              .308/.366/.444, 3b#=3
2004 Chone Figgins           .296/.350/.419, 3b#=3

I was thinking Kaufman or Chase but perhaps Hilltop would be a better fit considering I don't have much obp?

My pitchers arethe usual deadball studs: 08 Joss Mathewson, Steele, 19 Nehf etc.

I thought Petco was the generic triples ballpark. Triples have a higher rating relative to the other ratings, +5 higher than anything else. If other factors aren't suitable for Petco I'd take a hitters ballpark with low HR rating, triples teams don't belong in HR ballparks. Municpal stadium for a generic hitting team with triples. but you don't have doubles so Comerica might be a better fit. of your 3 suggestions I like Kaufman best. I don't understand Hilltop, you don't have RH power.

Hilltop is the only one with a +3 singles factor. It would be a decent choice if his hit:walk ratio is significantly higher than 3. I also thought Comercia if they dont have many doubles.

My original intention was Comercia, but then I realized it is only +2 for trips.  My hit:walk ratio, if I understand the calculation correctly, is 4.3. (h/pa =~.265, bb/pa =~0.061)

Are you worried about scoring runs or giving up runs?

If it's me, I am worried about scoring enough.

Put them in Hilltop...it's not like your pitchers are gonna give up a ton of bombs anyway.

On a side note, I would be interested to see how many triples your pitchers give up.  Deadballers are SUPPOSED to give up more triples than modern pitchers but I wonder if it is significant enough to matter.

Its an 88:12 hitter oriented decision, so probably doesn't matter too much.

I am not really worried about either.  I am just out to hit a lot of trips a field a competitive team.
I think that deadballers do give up more triples-- at least they seemed to last time I had a triples team.

Could I get away with 1206 ip in Hilltop if I maximize to use of my 200K scrubs  (they total 180 innings)?

I think YOU can.

I would do Chase, Kauffman or AT&T.  If your goal is simply to hit "a lot of triples," as you said, and not to break any triples records, I would go with AT&T.  It's a good trips park, even though it is only +2, with triples rated higher than anything else, and your deadball pitchers will flourish there.  I've had good success with triples at AT&T.

I don't know how competitive you want to be, but I worry about your OBP.  The team you posted will lead the league in runners stranded on third for sure.  I would spend a little more on a masher like Mike Donlin `05 to drive them all in, and he'll get 20 triples himself (easily) in AT&T.  I've never seen anyone clear the bases out of the 4 spot like Donlin except one of the Ruths.

Well the season is over...  My team performed okay over all.  I won 88 games despite blowing about 25 games-- which in retrospect was way to many.  None of my players were close to being fatigued.   I hit 176 triples led by Granderson's 34.  Figgy hit 20 and Harry hit 21.  Sanders was a big disapointment hitting only 11 despite playing against righties nearly exclusively.  Alicea posted an all worst line of .227/.294.333 with 12 triples.

My team performed great in the post-season, sweeping through two rounds before winning the series 4-2.  My team matched up great against  the moderate average, low BB/9 deadballers most teams used, but I also got lucky in that the best teams got knoweck off before I had to face them.

Triple teams have been good to me.  I have had two and both captured a championship.

Coincidently, Thunder had a team in my division.  It was a close race, but I pulled away in the last 20 games or so.

I would consider AT& T or Comerica and forget about Hilltop with this team. You might also want to consider Juan Uribe or Christian Guzman at shortstop, rather than Luis Alicea because despite his triples rating, his batting average and hit rate doesn't justify drafting him just because he can hit some triples, but not too much of anything else.

Palace of the Fans, if available. I, too, have had success with triples teams, but I admitted to myself that there were a couple of positions where genuinely good hitters who also hit triples were unavailable, and I opted for a genuinely good hitter who did not hit triples. He did have the presence of mind to frequently be on base when someone else hit one.
