Droid or Blackberry Topic

I need to update my phone to a smart phone and am wondering which phone is easier for following the day to day of the HBD leagues. I am unable to get an IPhone with my carrier and they are pushing me towards either a Droid or a Blackberry.  Wondering if anyone has any suggestions.  Thanks.

I had a droid at one time, and it sucked (at least the version I was running), it wouldnt allow you to select a submenu.  Say you want to set your pitching staff you would click managers office, but you couldnt go to pitching staff it would always go to managers console.  Annoying!  But its possible that with the newest droid software they have fixed that, so I would play with your phone first before you buy it.

That being said if you can switch carriers to go with an iPhone Id do that, as it is heads and shoulders better for surfing then a droid or BBerry.

Thanks Greeny - makes me wish I didn't live in the sticks.

I have an HTC (thats a droid isn't it?). It works fine. With the submenus, you just hold your finger down breifly and then push away.

Thanks BL-I was leaning that direction since I can easily turn it into a mobile hotspot and use my laptop through it as well.

You can do anything you need to on the site with a Blackberry- cumbersome, aggravating, and slow, but doable.

I wouldn't recommend a Blackberry in general terms because their Apps are basically crap. Their former selling points, secure e-mail, web access, superior data organization- are now for the most part available other phones so they are IMO rapidly becoming the Atari of phones. RIM is losing ground horribly to better technologies, and I suspect Blackberries are goners with 2-3 years.

who is your carrier that won't let you get an iphone?

Cellcom is my carrier - I'm on a plan with my wife, daughter, and father so I'm limited to my choices.  They let me use a Droid to test with and everything looks good.  It's a little difficult to do the drop down menus but it's serviceable.

Get one of the new Windows Phones with Mango OS. I have a older one and it works great. HTC makes a couple. Droids I had were terrible.

Yes, and I like it way better than my droids that force close apps all the time.
Use one and you will like it also.

I had a windows phone a few years ago and I hated it. Switched to a blackberry......then a droid....before settling on an iPhone.

Maybe windows phones have gotten better, but with less than 2% market share i can't believe they're very good.

Thats why you need to try one. They are not very good they are great.
The problem with drop downs that apple and droid are having doesnt happen on windows phone 7.

I have an IPhone & IPad2 and I'm frustrated trying to access / operate the site.  I can get to the main page and main menus but it won't let me access the sub-menus.  They will appear if I hold down briefly but as soon as I lift my finger to access on of the sub-options it immediately goes to the main page for those set of menus.  I'm using Safari.  Is the issue with my browser of the phone / pad?  Anyone else having success with these?
