Injury recovery on placeholder days Topic

This has probably been a post on this previously in the forum, but it needs to be fixed.  Players should not get e recovery day from injuries on placeholder days, but they do.

i don't think it really does need to be fixed because there aren't any placeholder days in the regular season.

it helps your players recover in the playoffs, but i just view it as a cortisone shot of sorts and it makes sense.

i.e. they still serve their primary purpose for allowing ppl to set rotations w/o starters getting too much rest. and as far as side effects go i think this one is more positive than negative.

It's a bug.  No fatigue recovery but injury recovery?  C'mon, it's not supposed to work like that.
11/7/2011 12:12 PM
They don't give cortisone injections for fatigue.
11/7/2011 12:17 PM
Chop 'em up a couple of lines.  That will help with fatigue.

Yeah, this is a bug, not a feature.
11/7/2011 1:53 PM
it's a bug that falls into the "who cares?" category

hell, i'd be fine if they just re-labeled it as a feature.  change the name to cortisone shot day and everything works!

While I agree it's not major, it can certainly make a difference in the playoffs, particularly before the WS when there are multiple placeholder days.  It would be easy to fix too, so it seems worth doing.  I am sure it's not intentional.

ya it made a difference for me last season in MG, my stud 3B was able to come back a couple of games earlier in the world series because of it.

ever since then i've been a pretty big fan of the bug.

So yeah, you're just a sleezeball who enjoyed the loophole.  Everyone else would like it fixed.

Well, to be fair, I don't care one way or the other as it's the same for everyone.   But I don't believe it's working as intended.

I wouldn't have complained if another team had their star player back for a series against me due to the bug.

The playoffs are better w everybody's best players available.  Why are you so mad about this?

Aren't all games better if everybody's best players are available?   No fatigue, no injuries?  Is that what you're advocating?

Probably because it sounds like you're arguing for the sake of arguing.  There is a bug.  Something isn't working as intended.  And you're arguing that it's fine as is, which is broken.

And we should probably just remove all the players from the DL when the playoffs come.  To make the game better.
