I'm not leaving, but I looked at the jobs screen in Rupp.  I noticed that I was "keep looking" for Alabama.  Alabama has A prestige.  Here's its last 10 seasons

I'm surprised that the good record and coming off a 34-1 season would be  a ticket anywhere but not good enough for Bama?

Did I mention that I coached at Bama in this world.  Yup.  before I got to my target school Maryland, I was at Alabama for seasons 18-41 or so.  Bama has become very choosy lately, eh?

hmm, didnt know that - it has been a while since I changed jobs - I thought keep looking means virtually no chance

Keep Looking means that the job is considered both a Longshot and a Step Backwards. So yeah, you have virtually no chance, and even if you do get it, your loyalty will take a huge hit.

It is possible to get a Keep Looking job, but very unlikely. My current Marquette job in Rupp was a Keep Looking that I got. The odds are the same as a Longshot, less than 5% I'd guess, considering that I'm about 1-for-30 lifetime applying to Longshot or KL jobs.

A prestige Alabama wants to be simAI'ed into the ground rather than take a coach who has made the NT each of the last 8 seasons, including 3 final four appearances and a NT championship game.  Dumb.
