Drafting a contract.  The contract was supposed to say "[t]he individual signing this agreement..."  Instead (and I almost missed it in editing), I apparently put, "[t]he individual signing period this agreement..."

HD has taken over my life...

I recruited from my laptop sitting by my mother's bedside in the ICU. It's insidious.

I work in higher ed and a couple of years back I received a letter from Maine - Presque Isle and my first, second, and third thoughts were to wonder why my conference mate was contacting me by postal mail.

I'm a sports editor and more than once have received the real-life updated basketball polls and looked at the Division II and Division III rankings wondering why my team wasn't receiving votes.

Now that's awesome.  Haha.

That's awesome.

Back in the day I was the long time coach of Redlands in Naismith. Shortly after I left I sat next to a cute girl on a plane wearing a Redlands sweatshirt. I spent the entire flight debating whether or not to let her in on our shared Redlands connection, before wisely deciding not to.

I'm a high school senior, and I've gotten mail and emails from plenty of D3 schools, making me automatically think of HD
Once got an email from Babson, my first coaching job

I once told a friend that I couldn't go golfing with him because I was coaching in a rec basketball league. He then decided to go to the gym to watch, and the only person there was a custodian.

someone ask alblack about his similar story - he didn't quite have girt's restraint IIRC

Actually may have been wise to say something, she probably thought you were scoping her player potential the whole plane trip instead of her sweatshirt <.<

I've contemplated ordering sweatshirts for the teams I'm coaching.

Geez..you had to remind me. LOL

I was on a plane to Portland. The attractive woman next to me mentioned that she was from Salem. I blurted out, "I coach basketball at Willamette there!"

Trying to save the situation, I explained:

1) It's not a real game and I'm not a real coach.

2) The players aren't real either.

3) It's a computer game.

4) No, the college doesn't know about it.

5) I don't think they care.

6) No, I've never been there.

7) I'm pronouncing it wrong?? It's "Will-AM-ette", not  William-ETTE,  like the man's name?

As she pressed her body closer and closer to the window, I shut up. If there'd been any empty seats on the plane, I would've moved.
