This is fairly lengthy, but I think its important for any other unexperienced commissioners like I was to know what to expect from CS.

Hi, I'm commissioner of World Guinness. Owner Philbar of the Richmond Ravens has a .237 win% and I'd like to have him replaced. I haven't pursued a replacement owner yet, just want to make sure you'll support this. Thanks.
Also owner pj26pj hasn't checked in since 2/6 and his pitchers are exteremely fatigued. Regarding your policy of '10 games in a row starting a pitcher under 50%' could that be taken in an average? For instance, if he had 5 guys start at 20% and 5 guys start at 80%? Thanks. |

Hi Jordan,
Have you had any communication with the owner about this? We would prefer you try to work this situation out with the owner as they have been part of the world for awhile now. They aren't performing very well this season but they do not appear to be tanking either.
As for the second part, no it cannot be an average. They have to be under 50% for 10 consecutive games. |

Here is a copy of our trade chats. I made some hand on suggestions on how to improve his team. He actually did sign a SS I suggested, but then only uses him as a defensive replace (his SS is one of the bigger reasons why he's losing). The pitchers that I suggested would be big upgrades over the ones he has and only cost the league minimum. He ignored those. It think using pitchers with splits in the 40's is tanking, especially when better options are constantly available in the FA leftovers or on the waiver wire for the league minimum or near it.
In addition, all owners are aware that we support the fair play rules as assigned by site staff. Thanks.
boogerlips 1/21/2012 7:18 AM Charles Farley isn't great, but like Hernandez he makes the league minimum and would be an upgrade. Thanks, Booger.
boogerlips 1/21/2012 7:16 AM Odalis Hernandez is available on the WW. He makes the league minimum and would be an upgrade over some of the pitchers you have on your team. Also, you'd win more games with Nicholas actually starting against RHers.
boogerlips 1/12/2012 11:20 AM Thank YOU. GL to you as well.
PhilBar 1/12/2012 7:56 AM thank you for the suggestion. Good luck with your team
boogerlips 1/11/2012 10:50 PM I might suggest Pinky Nicholas as a decent SS. |

Hi Jordan,
With it being so close to the end of the season, we will not make the replacement at this time. At the end of the season if you are still unhappy with the owner and want to prevent them from continuing next season, please let us know. |

I want to make sure I understand this correctly. By YOUR rules, you have to wait 80 games for an owner to be kicked out, but 110 games is too late? Seriously?
I find that it sets a far better standard, and is also a lot easier to take care of this immediatly. |

Yes - we can enforce your restriction of him returning next season if is justified.
In preparation of that, please let us know the detailed reasons behind his removal. What rules has he violated? Are they clear violations of posted rules? If so, let us know location of rules. We read your site mails above. Have you ever warned him of being removed from the world if he doesn't abide by posted rules? If not, you should.
Removal of owners is tricky, especially after they have been in the world for multiple seasons. It's best for all if users stay in worlds, but we will remove when justified. So, provide us the violations and we will review further and restrict if necessary.
Thank you |

The fairplay guidelines are posted for everyone in every world to see. I wasn't aware that if you claim to have not bothered looking into such things, that you were therefore not held accountable to it. Also, after a very lengthy debate about whether we should pursue stricter minimum wins rules like many private worlds do, I made this quote in the world chat, "boogerlips »»»Voodoo Doctors««« 1/21/2012 5:36 PM I think its clear that this league isn't ready/interested in any tanking policy beyond the fairplay guidelines given by administration."
I have copied the fairplay guidelines into our private world rules also.
Considering that and considering what I posted earlier about my direct attempts to help him improve his team which he ignored, you must conclude that this is a clear case of apathy towards fielding a competetive team. Pretty black/white. |

All worlds are bound to fairplay guidelines unless private world rules indicate otherwise. So, in this league, that is enough and owners are held to that when they sign up.
Removing an owner is never black/white as it seems. When we do remove an owner, we must be well-armed with justification. FYI: this user's expected team WPct is .310 vs his actual of .259.
We can restrict the owner from returning next season, but we want to make sure that is really what you want.
As far as the response you received at the 110 game mark, we'll be reviewing internally. At that point, he could/should have been removed. A member of CS may have been confused.
Thanks |

It moves from one season to the next automatically. When it moves to the next unplayed season, we will remove the owner and then he/she won't be able to enter without the password.

Jordan,
It appears the owner in question submitted a CS ticket and was provided the password because he/she indicated more than half the world indicated it would be ok for him to remain. Another CS member acted upon his information.
So, we need to have the two of you resolve this situation. Can you attempt a trade chat or site mail with this user to see how we can best move forward? Please let us know. User obviously wants to play in the world, but if he's (or was) in violation and you want him out, please push info to world chat to get others on board.
Thanks |

I asked that question and got a "yes we can if its justified" response. You determined it was justified, then changed your mind because enough people asked you too. If you knew in advance that you'd be willing to change your mind and hang me out to dry if enough people asked you to, then why wasn't I told this back in February??? Don't you think if I had known this I would have gone about things differently? And why was I removed as commissioner? You told me I couldn't remove an owner without justification. Surely the same thing applies to removing a commissioner. |
