Well, my D3 Conf (Northwest) just filled, and now sit at 12 human.

As I look around D3 Naismith, I'm shocked to see 7 full human conferences:

Capital
CCIW
CUNY
Freedom
Northwest
Ohio
USA South

And the crazy thing is, there are a bunch of Conf with only 1 or 2 open spots. Is there some kind of Operation Fill Naismith (much like the fill Heisman D1 in GD) going on, that I'm not aware of?

ASC - 1 open team
Heartland - 2 open teams
Michigan - 2 open teams
N. Coast - 1 open team
Penn - 2 open teams
St. Louis - 2 open teams
University - 2 open teams
Upstate - 2 open teams

There are also 3 conf with 3 open teams. 

There must be a promotion going on that I don't know about. Only 116 openings in d3 Naismith... should be fun.      

Has to be a promotion! I have never seen more than 7 human coaches in North Coast in the 7 seasons i have coached there. Now only one opening...Going to be great!

I was thinking that if it is a promo then Naismith, more than likely, was the closest to starting. Hence the large influx.

I have offered my help, limited as it is, to any new coach in my conference to hopefully keep as many as possible after one season.

Don't think there's any kind of promotion going on, just a few coaches signing up and then that starting a snowball effect.

Out of the D3 conferences that are still open, which one has the longest tenured active coaches who are dedicated to their schools?

There was a FREEHD promotion coinciding with the tournament again this year.  Saw it advertised once or twice around the web.

I'll be interested to see the effect in Tark, which has its rollover coinciding with Naismith's

yeah, in the MIAC there are a bunch of brand new coaches with no prior HD experience - hopefully they get addicted like all of us and stick around.

I coach Otterbein in the Ohio Athletic Conference and got hooked on HD about 6 seasons ago.  I have since recruited 6 human coaches and that's how we filled up our conference.  Not sure about anything else going on out there, but Naismith looks like the place to be now!

Right now 96 sim coaches left.... 288 human coaches. Awesome. And we still have until 4 PM Sat to fill it even more.

Let's just hope that most of these guys stick around and we don't have the quick drop off after one season like last year.  Not holding my breath though......

right on man, they will use their free season, go 6-21, and see no point to paying $13 to do that in a second season
