Player C is a DH: 78 Durability, 86 Health, 81 Patience, 6 Temper, 74 Makeup, 95 Contact, 86 Power, 83 vsLHP, 75 vsRHP, 90 Eye, Not a steal threat at all.

Leaning toward Player A.  Really like the control for both pitchers and Player A's 91 vsRHB looks great, however, is the 15 rating for a 4th pitch likely to crush him?  The DH will be a great hitter, but I just have a hard time choosing him before the pitchers.  Just looking for some feedback.

A, he has 3 great pitches. I wouldnt worry about the 4th

A - Love the 91 righty split.  He'll throw strikes, and I agree the first three great pitches makes the 4th pitch not as big an issue.

And definitely not C.

I would love C!  But I would love A more.

C should be a 300-380-560 guy.

Uh...that's pretty good.  A's durability wouldmean I would set him at 90-100 pitches.

but a vR of 91, with his control, great velocity and three A-A+ pitches is a great package.

How old is player A?  How much scouting do you have?  What are his current ratings

Thanks for the input, Player A is number 1 on my board.  It is a real weak class, which is why I was considering the DH.
He is 18 yrs old.  I have my Advanced Scouting at 15 and High School Scouting at 16, not sure which gives the ratings for the draft.  Current Ratings are
23 Durability, 61 Health, 60 Patience, 65 Temper, 61 Makeup, 52 Stamina, 55 Control, 40 vsLHB, 57 vs RHB, 72 Velocity, 56 GB/FB, 69 1st, 63 2nd, 49 3rd, 11 4th

I dont know how close he'll get to those projections.  61 makeup is a bit on the low side and 61 health might land him a handful of DL trips.  But he still looks to be the best out of the three.  If you have the time ( or even are that worried about it ) go back through the draft history and try to find an 18 year old with the same ratings and see how he panned out

I'd still go with A, even if his vRH doesn't reach 90, it will be in the high 80's, which is still damn good

what side of the plate does the DH hit from?

i think it's defensible to take him, but good starting pitching is just so hard to come by that I think i'd have a difficult time passing up A.  I'd take the DH over B for sure though.

What do C's fielding projections look like?

A - for sure as #1. Not sure who I'd take between the other two.

if it werent for As dur/sta he would be a slam dunk.  But as it stands his stamina might only make it to 62-65.  Which makes him barely a SP.  He certainly could be a SP for his first 7 or 8 seasons then he might need to be switched to CLA or SUA.  Which wouldnt be so bad.  With the 15 last pitch if you have awesome pitching coaches you might get lucky and have him drop that pitch which would increase his effectiveness a fair bit.  As a 1st OA pick I wouldnt be ecstatic to have him, but Id rather him then C for sure.  B isnt that bad, but A is clearly better.

I concur.  The Stamina issue is a concern.  As I look at all my current rotation pitchers, he most anybody increased in Stamina was 13 points.  My Ace increased only 3 points.  So, I'm going to say that at best your guy gets to 65 stamina.....with a 23 Durability, that means he's going to throw about 180-185 starter innings.

He'll miss the occassional start, and you'll want a workhorse to go ahead of him or behind him in the rotation to spare your pen.

I might move toward C. He's 40 homers a year. 

Its a lot easier to replace 40HRs at DH than to replace 170IP/3.50ERA.
