Recruit #1:
5/29 5:00 a.m. Reply to Scholarship offer: Hey Coach, I really love your program, but I feel like I need to give each program my full attention before I make my decision. I can't say yes right now. Sorry.
5/29 11:00 p.m Reply to PT guarantee "PT from you to me = LOI from me to you. I'm good at math."
5/30 2:00 a.m. It was good to hear from you coach! You've painted a great picture of Nebraska Wesleyan that I can see myself being a part of.
I was waiting for the 2:00 a.m. FSS to let me know where I was at... apparently that really screwed me. My team just went from NC contender to an also-ran.
Umm Julius, if one recruit is the difference between your team being a NT contender and an also-ran, his initials had better be JC, not JS. Understood that you're upset about losing out on the guy, but that's being just a bit melodramatic, don't you think? Especially if the kid was a freshman (just checked, he is). As a couple of coaches posted earlier, the only e-mails that matter are the scholarship e-mails. All the other ones are basically just fluff.
***Edit*** Just looked at the kid's potentials. He's okay, but he's certainly NOT the difference between a title contender and an also-ran. He'll be pretty good for D3, no doubt about that, but he's not the kind of player that would singlehandedly turn a program around, even at D3. Sorry if this comes off as harsh, but it is what it is.
