He definately was legit, I'm not arguing that he wasn't worthy of EE (he was 2nd team AA after all, although the 1st team AA is staying for his SR year). It just that the previous season, I had my soph legit PF go EE and he went #28 in the first round but I didn't even get a prestige bump and it pretty much screwed me this season. This EE will make it that much more difficult for this season and trying to recruit a replacement with a lower prestige than my peers makes it hard.

Personally I think that EEs should be based on:
1. How well you did in the post season (i.e. how much did the season cost you in RL dollars)
2. What is your team's ability to replace the player (team prestige, conference tourney money, etc.)
I view EEs as a means to prevent an ELITE program from dominating the tourney year in year out... all these EEs are doing to me is preventing me from even getting to the tourney now...
So in other words you want the EE system to work in a way that benefits your current situation.
If a guy is good enough, he should go EE whether he's on a 3 win team or a National Champion.
I'm not saying that my guy wasn't a legit EE... what I am saying is that in any given season there could be 50 legit EEs in a world (i.e. any of these teams shouldn't complain if their player opted for the draft). If you want to cut off there then I'm perfectly fine with all 50 going EE but that isn't how it works.
Far fewer than those 50 will opt for the draft. All I'm saying is that WIS's method of selecting who goes EE and who doesn't should either be more tranparent (i.e. the scouting eval actually would be more clear than it is now) or their method of determining should be better defined.
I guess what I am asking the WIS player base here is what do you think the intent of EEs are?
Is it to hit all NT teams (probably half the draft filled with EEs) so that we get a bigger turnover of NT participants. Is it to hit the Elite teams (i.e. those that get to say Elite 8 year in year out so maybe only 25% of the draft are EEs) so they don't keep going deep every year? Is it to make it so any one lucky enough to draft an EE player (even a D+ school) to get hit?
By your last statement, I would think you want everyone (all 50) to go EE I'm guessing?
