Agreed 100%. When it's impossible to fill a 24-team league with even the best theme, we can't be picky. Lately there have been a number of brand-new players jumping in, at least in some progressives. Better to fill leagues and get them playing than to make them feel they're not welcome in leagues because they have no track record. Everyone who runs leagues knows who is unlikely to play the minimum games if his team isn't competitive, but these days that knowledge doesn't matter. We have the choice of welcoming anyone willing to put a team in, or of watching good ideas for leagues stall out at 10.
I'm on pace to average 109 games with my 12 active teams, with the lowest projected total 92; I couldn't be doing that if there were only a handful of people playing their games. The problem is not a lack of live games, it's a lack of live players. And an abundance of people who only want to play in a league for which they get a credit as founder. When a bunch of people are trying to create leagues without joining others, we get a forum full of half-filled leagues, and Live appears to be in more trouble than it really is. It used to be that anyone trying to fill his own league would sign up for anything and everything in the forums, which led to those creators signing up for his league, and a chain reaction that filled 24-team leagues.
