What for now is referred to as MUSDUC TWO. (We'll have a poll for names for this particular challenge).

The PREMISE:
HD Coaches from around the world will enter. Entrants will then "rank" participants by whatever method they so choose. These rankings will be compiled by a completely disinterested 3rd party anonymously, the results seeded in reverse order such that the highest "ranked" coaches are seeded last.

Coaches will then select an open coaching position at Division 3 in the World we collectively decide upon, with the highest seeded coaches getting first pick.

The Challenge length is somewhere between say 12 -20 seasons.

The Point:
For me, honestly, have fun and get more coaches playing. Why anyone else would sign up is beyond me.

The Prizes:
None, yet? Some, if that's what people want - I am not opposed.

The Reasons:
There are many and we talk about them all the time. The game is more fun with more players. Lets all start at D3 together with no goal. Its a true sandbox - with many possibilities.

Want to see who can win the first NT? Cool. Who can win most titles? Titles at all levels? First D1 title? How much would baseline (and existing population) impact things? Doesn't any of this **** interest you, too?

The Challenges:
Are legion. No one wants to play D3. (You can move up in 1 season). But you don't wanna play D2 either (well, it'll take 2-3 to move up is all, but if you can't bear it, then I guess we lose you here?). All the other things folks will reasonably point out.

The Outcome:
Up to you.

THE QUESTION:
Would you participate in some kind of mega cluster**** as sort of described above?

Sounds like a fun premise, but the determination for me would be what world and what my crazy schedule looks like for whenever this thing gets off the ground. I've long thought it'd be fun to "seed" a world though (I always thought a random lottery pick...) and see how the D3 schools were grabbed.

I am a solid maybe. I have a few questions/comments that hopefully will generate some discussion and help me decide.

Would we all join the same conference or just DIII?

Is there any type of commitment? For example: 5 seasons, 10 seasons, 20 seasons?

I am not opposed to prizes either, but what if we just had a points list based on defined accomplishments? For example, NT, PIT, AA, COTY, etc. This would just be for bragging rights.

Just to make things fun and challenging, what if we had certain rules or restrictions? For example: all participants must play FB/Zone, no carry over money (everyone must have at least 1 walk on), or some other crazy rule.

FWIW, the only worlds I don't have a team in currently are Smith, Phelan, and Tark.

I wanted to pick up a D3 team in a friends league and move up to D1 in it to play against him some.
If you happen to choose his leagues I could be involved.

Everyone joins D III. If we use the "seeding" idea coaches will pick their D III team from those available when their turn comes. Otherwise we all start somewhere in D III.

I think it would be ideal if it was for at least 12 if not maybe 20 seasons - want to give time for people to accomplish stuff...

I like points list. If prizes are involved they could be an extension of the points...

Rules restrictions are out, as we learned from the theme conference idea from way back...Coaches can do whatever they want. The only thing we are controlling is the season and division everyone begins at.

I think a 2 game a day world would be better since we want many seasons.

For prizes I would love to have it be an option where if coaches want to pay in to the prize pool they would be eligible to win prizes - otherwise its just bragging rights (or just the fun of having fuller conferences and people to joke with)

Yeah, definitely couldn't put restrictions/rules on what folks could run...we had some great theme ideas years back that WIS put the clamps down on before it ever got started. Which sucked since I was really intrigued to see the results that came from it and how the theme conference winners fared against others in the non-con and post season.

I like new ideas and would definitely be in for something like this

I like ..l but I'm not really in for adding another team financially right now. Now If I was able to use a d3 team in a world I was already in ...

You couldn't do a restriction, but y might be able to offer a prize, points, whatever, for "the most successful fast break/zone team' or some such. Set some challenges; it's not collaboration if they aren't required to do it but just get 'props' if they do?
