So......All my LIVE leagues have ended and I haven't played a game in 3 or more weeks.  I have 5 teams in 3 leagues that are in various stages of filling.  There are no other leagues that I am aware of that are anywhere close to filling.  It has become a frustrating thing to check the LIVE forum on a daily basis and see that there have only been a few posts during the day.  I even tried to start a league, but there just don't seem to be too many people interested in playing anymore.  There are certainly not enough people to have a bunch of leagues going at any one time. I thoroughly enjoy playing this game (no matter how flawed it is) but I'm wondering if it is time to move on to something else.  I'm just not sure anymore.  I don't mean to complain, but this stinks!

my current franchises league usually fills 5-7 days after posted. you might have just bad timing. readem and weep filled rather quickly also. I agree though not many choices of leagues filling quickly anymore. ive seen so many good owners go also

Haha. Let him rant.  I'm OG when it comes to ranting on this site.  :)  Of course, I am much more civil these days....... I do the best to support many of the leagues that are out there, even when I think they might not be the greatest.  I absolutely love Baseball Fed.  That league is the bomb.  So many ways to win with all the different franchises.  There a few others that are great.  Read 'em and Weep is great, but I don't have time for the draft process.  Same reason that I haven't signed for the 21st Century Draft league.

 I love the tight-knit LIVE community, but it has just gotten smaller and smaller.....making it difficult for much of anything to get going with any sort of speed.  I've been sitting for three weeks without having an active league.  Have there been a few that have started since then?  Yeah, but they certainly didn't float my boat enough to spend my hard-earned money on.  I've committed to 5 teams in 3 leagues since my last one ended, but I've got to draw the line.....  I'm not going to stockpile a bunch of teams, because I can't manage 7-10 teams at one time anymore.  Back in the day, I used to have 20-30 open league teams going at any one time......but that was when they were less than $10 a team.  I bought 6-packs like crazy.  lol.  

All I want to do is play in a couple of decent leagues and not have to sit around so much....Is that too much to ask??

You could always just join me in the fantasy baseball research for the spring... Spend your hard earned money on a high stakes team and come out to vegas and draft with me.

I feel your pain Chris and agree whole-heartedly..

Unfortunately, I believe the ultimate problem is that there are not enough LIVE players to go around.  Many are tied up in progressives and this shortens the pool for theme leagues.

Also, I believe many folks got turned off with the numerous service issues and the general lack of updates/corrections to the game

I'd love to see more original theme leagues out there with a better mixture of caps.  I also love draft leagues except I can't have access during my work-day.

Anyways, hope LIVE makes a comeback, but I do see a slow death to this.

It's January (e.g. football, basketball, hockey seasons) ... Normally there would only be about three leagues filling up about this time, not six ... In my opinion, the two that seem to be filling in the fastest are Extreme Themes and the Live Career League ... 

They need an app. I'd play in so many more leagues if I could play from my IPAD in bed.

Yep, would make all the difference to me. I’m semi-retired from the site and the main reason is it’s a pain to either sit in front of my desktop or lug my old laptop around to play. If they developed an iOS app for LIVE play then I’d sign up for multiple leagues ASAP.

An app would be amazing...I miss the hell out of LIVE but find it nearly impossible to make the time to get the min games in...at any rate sup y'all.

I pop in once or twice a month. Scan the leagues, see if there is anything that tickles my fancy and makes me plop down $12.95 for another go at it.
