St-John's, Miami(Florisa) or Oregon. I just won the Summit CT, won coach of the year. My team is sophs and froshs with one legit jr.

Did you ever see a 16 seed beat a 1 seed in D1? I checked these teams and feel I have more chance to win the lottery.

I am at D Rep, what am I going to C- with the CT win?

Yes.  This game I see a 16 seed beat a 1 numerous times. That's the one thing that is not very realistic here

wow zorzii thats an amazing job recruiting there such a strong midmajor team. congrats.

I've seen 16-seeds beat 1's as well, but never in D1 (sorry).  You'll get to D+ for sure after the season, and maybe a low C-.  Had you won 24 or 25 games, I would have leaned more towards a definitive C-.

Yeah I had no hope. D1 is another world?

I Drew Minnesota. The coach of this team won the NT four seasons ago. I am almost 100 overall rating Under, 10 in ath, 10 in def... Happy with the season anyways.

Not the same I know, but in Phelan a couple of seasons back, I beat a 2 seed with as a 15.  Came within a missed shot at the buzzer in the 2nd round of going to the Sweet 16.  Louisiana-Lafayette if anyone cares to look.

Great job DCY. I lost 53-48. I kept the lead until 8 minutes into the second half. I did an excellent slow down defensive job. I checked the base prestige of the teams and the history of some, I think I need to move from IUPUI... If I can get to BYU or LaSalle, it's a no brainer. BYU can even have A prestige while getting C+ on IUPUI is a struggle, keeping it too. I find it disappointing. The recruiting and good coaching we do does not have an impact on recruits wanting to come to our program. It's really based on reality where some programs never get any luck.

C+ on any school is not a struggle, way easier than an A at BYU (which i doubt you can get, TBH). i dont disagree with your conclusion, just want to make sure you have the info. getting to the first round of the NT and losing a few times will get you up to a B- at any school in d1. its really getting above a B- where it starts to get difficult. i think IUPUI is a D+, it would make sense anyway, usually going 1 grade above baseline is pretty easy. it starts to get somewhat challenging above that, and to get to 2 full grades above is where you really start to feel baseline dragging you down. BCS low end is B- prestige, and you can maintain an A+ at those programs without too much trouble, as a final point of reference. its not easy but certainly doable, and not just by the elite coaches or anything like that. you would need to average somewhere around the S16 year in and year out, as opposed to an A+ baseline school while can do it with something more like a rd2 year in and year out.

So gillespie, if i can get byu or LaSalle or some sort of other mid-major, what's My best move? I know iupui is the same team, one year older next year. But i checked its réputation history and winning games consistently only brought a C+. So what world you do if your goal was a big six confs team?

the baseline prestige is a drag but you're also going to be crippled in terms of recruiting cash at IUPUI. low-D1 is a double whammy. the mwc and a10 are okay conferences in tark, not elite but a step up from where you are. i mean, it really all depends on what you like. you can beat up on really bad sims and make the NT most years at IUPUI and, as gillispie said, get to a B- fairly easily. but you're still going to lose every single recruiting battle because of $$$.

in the mwc/a10/cusa, the ceiling is a little higher. baseline prestige is a little better. there are more humans in the conferences which helps with cash, too (and you can learn a lot from interacting with more human coaches!). as such, you can win some battles when circumstances are right, and you can field a team that has a chance to win some games in the NT.

all that said, you can probably get a (bad) big 6 job faster staying where you're at, because you'll rack up loads of easy wins and conference titles, and then you just need a lucky game or two in the NT to boost your coaching profile. if you switch to BYU, for example, you're going to endure a couple seasons of losing while you build and that'll set you back further from getting a big 6 job.

(but then you'll have what many people say is the hardest and most frustrating job in the game--turning around a bad big 6 school.)

Agree with bathtubhippo and gillispie.  If you want ANY big 6 job, stay where you are because you won't have to take on another rebuild.  If you want to be more patient to try and get a better (higher baseline) D1 job, then you're better off moving to a mid-major.  I also think the layout of the particular world (where human coaches are located) is important to know and can play into your decision, but I'm not in Tark so I can't speak offer an opinion on location.

For what it's worth, here is my resume from Eastern Illinois (also D+ baseline).  I wasn't qualified for any big 6 jobs until after my 5th season, when the C+ Vols were available and I took them.  But I didn't qualify for B Iowa or B- Texas Tech.

Thanks guys. Anyways, there is only West Virginia left in the big six conferences. I mean, it is about to become important to either be in the A-10 or in some other mid-major conference. Tark is really competitive.

I will see what they offer me, if I can make a move to something Worth it, I will. If not, I am staying put for some seasons.

In Tark, Chief got BYU up to an A prestige but it took 2 consecutive title game appearances, followed by a Sweet 16, then another Final Four before he finally got there.  It's possible, but you would have to have one helluva stretch to get it.

You only have 134 wins, you may not have A10/CUSA/MWC offers anyway. You'll be at a C- or C after this season, while you return everyone. Make another NT and that should put you at C+. That should give you the option of moving to whichever bottom of the barrel Tier 2 conference and team you want.
