Lebron dethrones Wilt as top pick for first time here.  Perhaps a couple of surprises in the top 10, but mostly very good seasons for the top 12 to anchor around.  As always, the toughest challenge is to determine whether a previously taken player has another season worth taking vs a player not off the board.

I was surprised that 72-73 Wilt was picked ahead of some of his more prolific seasons and ahead of any of MJs seasons. 

I was also surprised that 1991-92 Rodman went so high.  I wouldn't have taken a guy with a usg% of 10 or so with the #4 overall pick ahead of Wilt, Kareem or MJ.

I would have taken Rodman in that spot in all honesty- I just took 90-91 Rodman 23rd overall, and was stoked about it. I won't explain why bc it's top early in the draft process to give away my plans.

I agree with milest and also don't want to tip as to why - meanwhile a particular player was taken but not the right season which I found stunning

took the worm because i didn't want to put too big of a hole in my cap space. he seemed like a good value pick for 9.2 mil. 50 m cap can sneak up on ya real quick in this league i think

Don't get me wrong.  I'm actually using 72-73 Wilt on one of my open league teams and he's doing great.  He even had a 34 rebound game for me.  I've nothing against Rodman either. 

But I just think that if you have a chance to take a Wilt season, espiecally in his mid 60s prime, it's a no brainer.

been there done that, road... wilt didn't fit into my plans this season. he's not the end-all of available players. no draft, no player is a "no-brainer." well, maybe that 1 wilt season is.

The top 4 picks look about right to me.  IMO, Rodman has slipped too far down in some recent ODL and DH$52M leagues.

This draft has gone a lot differently than the last 2. 2 guys that weren't even drafted in one of the seasons are already drafted. Other guys that went late 3rd/early 4th in the previous 2 are already drafted...

yeah, i know 12-13 KD went in the 4th last season. thing is, he's worth a 2nd round pick. i'm sure someone would've had the idea.....

He actually went undrafted in season 1... 99.9% sure of that... He's def worth a 2nd round pick imo tho.

well, i'm not that successful or experienced, but i don't think any high volume player with less than 55 D will work in this league. 

i think you can get away with it in some smaller cap leagues, but with the amount of D that's available to everyone in this league, i would stay away from low D guys, no matter how good they are at passing.
