I'm in a conference in Naismith with a coach that has played 81 seasons with no NT bids during that time. He basically makes no attempt to make the team better, it's basically a bunch of walkons and really bad recruits year after year. I'm just wondering if anyone had any ideas why someone would pay around $1,000 on a team that they make no effort to improve. Any thoughts?

As a Wooster grad, I feel morally compelled and duty-bound to make an Oberlin joke here...

He participates and he does get better from season to season. Sometimes, maybe because his time is limited, he gets worse . I like having him around.

maybe something like reigny and they have a mmedical problem or something that causes them to miss a lot of time. otherwise i dont understans how someone could be that bad for so long barring it being a wis account

Is it a WIS ID? They try not to win {at least not to win alot}, but look at gameplay.

Nope.. Not a WIS ID. No idea.

It looks like he is much more active in Hardball Dynasty. Hoops is his mistress that he doesn't treat well.

I have been in this conference since season 51. In that time I can recall conversation by him in the coaches corner only 3-4 times. His teams only get better because he has a class of 5 and their IQ's make them good every 4 seasons. I have often wondered if it is more of a recruiting tool for another team. I am all for him in the conference if he gives some effort.

Although it is the one game I can take a breath before in conference games.

If it's a recruiting tool, then it's a D1 owner somewhere... And he is having a blast going for recruits.

By the way, I asked him about this whole thing and he told me to "mind your own business, jusy worry about your team". And he refused to give up the team because he's trying to make it better. Apparently trying to make it better means taking two walkons this recruiting period. I'm with indy, i dont care if he plays, but just try.

that response really looks like he's 10 or its a team someone uses for FSS they suck, i know of like 3/4 D3 coaches that have sucked for that long its either medical, 10 years old, or someone using them for FSS

Could he be just managing money? Like I don't play on fc soccer just to win. I play as a manging money owner as I really don't know how it works quite yet.

+1 that response doesn't jive with so many seasons being that bad. something is up with this. WAY to many people around willing to help if someone really wants to get better for it to take that long.

Is that really what's going on with reigny? I have always been really curious about him.
