I just noticed that there is only 82 human coaches in D3 Tark. With over 300 sim ai teams, has there been a greater number recently at the D3 level during a season?

Same... I really hope the game isn't deserted. It's a really great game, nice community, if WIS could advertise more, I feel they could fill up all the worlds.

I just looked at D2 in Allen (world 6) which is wrapping up this week. In season #83 they were shown with 87 human coaches. The current season is #85 and there are 106 human coaches (which still is 61% sim).
Not sure what caused the +19 over two seasons. D1 still with 119. Maybe it's linked to the free season promo they ran during the NCAA's that saw D3 balloon from 99 to 264 coaches for at least one season.

Did I miss this announcement? I didn't realize the upcoming changes were shutting everything down.

I believe it was in the most recent developer chat. Once recruiting finishes in a world that world will be paused until all worlds are at the same point (just after the completion of recruiting). Then the worlds will be started back up in the same staggered format in which they were paused.

Not sure the promo is the reason since that season isn't even over yet. So those new players wouldn't even have the opportunity to move up to D2 yet.

And I fully expect very few of these new coaches stick around. Almost all that joined my conference didn't even recruit and were on autopilot all season. 80 of the bottom 100 RPIs belong to human coaches. Yikes.

I was a free HD coach, but im definitely in the minority that stayed. Back when you could do a free personal promo code, my friend sent me one and i really liked this game and stayed.

The bad thing is, I am only in seven Worlds (down from all ten) and how many of these 80 and 87 human leagues the same 80-85 guys?

There are many people with a team in every world but I would wager that 40% of the coaches in D3 with more than 10 seasons have at two other D3 teams in other world. There are probably around 250-300 unique D3 players with 10+ seasons of experience.

the sad thing is that shutting down all the worlds will probably lead to further loss of players, ie, some people will just fall out of the habit of playing this game everyday when there are ~30 days off in a row and not come back.
