How do I know the style of my team? I doubt I am per offense.

Look at how you match the recruit preferences

I don't think that's what he's asking. How do you know BEFORE recruiting? Or do you even know?

I would say ratings but not so sure!

It appears during the season. But what makes a per team, a defensive team.. a paint team

% of 3s vs 2s determines perimeter vs paint. I can't remember the numbers off top of my head, it's written down somewhere but it's pretty high like 40% of your 3s need to be 3s to get a VG.

defense is based upon points given up by a points per possession basis.

I thought it was in the guide.

I think you get "Good" at Perimeter offense somewhere around 35% of shots being 3FGA, 31-34% is neutral I think.

It seems a lot Trenton, which D1 team shots 35% from behind the arc?

My Fordham team is at 36.8% and currently listed as good.

Dang. I think I never had a team like this. Maybe I am too conservative.

Yeah the perimeter offense preference is out of wack. 40% of your shots are 3s?? Seriously?

I also HATE that it doesn't take into account efficiency. So you shoot a bazillion 3s but can't make any. How is that better than actually running an offense with 2-3 sharpshooters who hit >40% of their 3s but only accounts for 30% of total shots?

You never make the shot you don't take....

I don't think efficiency is a better way to make it. I think a perimeter offense is a team that takes alot of 3FGA.

The team with a few sharpshooters isn't a perimeter team, it's a paint offense with some sharpshooters!

I think it needs to be a combination of frequency and efficiency. Not just one or the other.

I disagree Benis. I coached high school b-ball and the system was always the same in the five year I was there. The talent made it work better or worse. So a team per oriented shoots it, and will just be more efficient if its per shooters pass, handle and shoot better.
