Prestige D1 3.0 Topic

Prestige is still really important in 3.0. A full letter difference means, with the wants to play preference and/or start, with efforts and preferences being equal, a high to very high roll. If there is no wants to play, you need higher prestige to battle a higher prestige than your team's.

So dynasties have an advantage for sure, which is good. But why is distance that important now? I thought we wanted to reduce it's impact also? It looks even more important than in 2.0.

That's a completely crazy result that should never happen. 4 A prestige teams offered scholarships. No chance that kind of kid goes to D2.

Jlo might of went all in and those other coaches were back up options and didn't go 100% on them. "all in"- means that you put all your effort into a player not a "backup option".

I am pretty sure effort is minimal for D1 teams. I am talking same efforts. D2 teams can't compete with my D1 teams if I want the players. We need the complete picture. I haven't seen that kind of results except once. Anyways, even with top efforts from D2, it should not have happened. It needs fixing.

But what if they went 50-80 or 60-90 or 70-100? Jlo is the 2nd column and the other coaches are the 1st column.

If that's the story you're going with then ok, nothing to see here

Hey son, wanna play for coach cal at UK or coach Izzo at MSU? You could be a professional ball player one day.

Nah I'm good. I got me a hot babe at Florida Tech that I'm gonna go kick it with.

ONE player proves ... nothing. At. All.
We're waiting for you to try to defend this one. You can't, because there isn't any explanation for it. And if you attempt to, you'll come off looking like a fool for trying.

one player proves that irrational results are happening - if one believes that this aspect of recruiting should be evaluated based on reality

I am not defending CoachSpud. But if we see the effort put into the player from all three coaches then we should come up with a answer.

It doesn't matter what the actual effort was if the DI schools were VH and the DII school was only H. The DII school was behind 3 big DI schools. Cudos for the DII keeping at high with that much action on the recruit, but this is a pretty ridiculous result.
