Found two old posts 8 and 21 weeks old. Found several people say that the job request "stuck", but can any of you all confirm you actually got the job?

I had one stick in over 40 tries.

Zorzii was that under 3.0? I was 0-20 in 2.0.

Under 2.0. But I kept at it in 3.0 and still nothing. The only difference in 3.0
is that the answer is delayed while you knew next cycle in 2.0.

The worst part was that I had already sprung for the Porsche.

In case anyone is curious. I think the mechanics may have been changed, but not 100 percent sure the logic. I put in an application at 4:32 am yesterday morning, and it was declined at 2:02 am this morning. I still got the "we are so sorry" email, but it was 22 hours after my application went in, and not within the same hour as it has been in the past. Actually went to bed thinking I had moved up to D1, and the "longshot" trap had been changed.

What I thought would happen, and what did happen were not the same. I personally like the near instant decline better. If I had my sights on other programs, I could still have applied to get an answer with the other "Coach Change" news this morning. That is why I still am not sure the mechanics and logic may have both changed. Nobody applied for the program I was seeking just in case any thoughts were I just got beat out by another better Coach.

It's what I experienced also. And was hoping they would give infos as soon as you applied.

I've always wished that they'd set it up to where these schools would maybe lower their expectations the last day of job openings. I'd rather see a person that was maybe close to qualifying for a job get a crack at it late vs it going unclaimed and going into simai's hands for a season and screwing the program fro the next few years..

I'm still fairly new to this. I'll be eligible for div 1 fairly shortly. What the heck are you guys even talking about?

Arfy I was wondering the same thing!

On the jobs page your agent tells you your chances to get a job with each open team. One of those evaluations is longshot, which to most people means maybe 5:1 or 10:1 but to HD means 40:1 or worse. Many people feel that if you're the only candidate, as long as you're remotely qualified, after a lengthy and otherwise empty search by the school, you should get the job.

That's messed up. But thanks for the clarification!

Arfy, I agree. I wish the "longshot" would go away. Just "Qualified" and "Not Qualified", and that way we would not even be discussing this. I kinda like pure21's idea. Keep it pending (if you have borderline cred's) until the last cycle, and if no other human applies for the job the Sim lets you have the job. I mean, the teams that come at longshot are normally pretty poor, so all WIS would be giving up is some "personal" happiness by a cash paying customer.

That is my two cents worth. Bottom line answer is I need to get past the First Round of the NT this year (just win a game son!).

Longshot = last day if no one applies is a winner.

Qualifications become irrelevant. Great idea! (sarcasm font, for those too dense to get it)
