Sure. I'll wager it's still here in 6/2018.

The NBA SIM has gone unattended, except for adding seasons of players, for over a decade. Owners have left by the dozens (hundreds?). WIS doesn't care. If they do nothing to the site, it costs them nothing, so anything they take-in is profit. The games will exist as long as we keep playing them. There is enough "hard core" owners that it will take much more than a year to die.

Yeah, I think I'll take the over on that one and feel pretty secure as well.

I'd buy out that game and start a small business. I am sure some would do the same as I would do. So, that game is there for the long haul. It just need an owner who cares.

They changed HD to something that does not function with a lot of logic. No promotion to lure in new players, and even if they did, those coaches can't move up or progress because the jobs system is broken.

HBD has tons of worlds that can be filled and sit empty for weeks. Not a huge baseball fan, but I haven't seen any promotion for this at all. You would think with the excitement of a new season getting underway, it would be a great spot to spend just a few marketing dollars.

Not sure how popular the other games are, but I'm sure their participation is getting smaller as I don't think I have seen much in the way of resources or "improvements" being made in those areas.

For me, unless huge changes are being made in multiple areas, this site is gone by this time 2018.

H, I currently advertise and help people learn about Hoops Dynasty on youtube. I am kinda disappointed that I can't ask for donations from my fans who currently watch my youtube channel as entertainment purposes. I am not trying to cheat I have already learn the consequences of that... I help grow the game and this will be disappointing to learn if I can't ask for donations on my youtube channel page or forums.

Ward this has nothing to do with the topic at hand we are talking about when WIS might eventually or if it will ever die. So get the **** out of here with a useless post. No one cares....

Back on topic: I believe WIS has something really special here that is being underutilized. I'd have to agree with Zorzii that the game has monetary value and could be a very good investment opportunity. With the correct backer and a real team in place to monitor the forums, provide feedback, and really improve this game I could see hoops dynasty being a big deal.

We must also take into account the NCAA 2k basketball and March madness video games are currently dead due to lawsuits and lack of community. After they died I found my way here to WIS, if this game can be properly attended too, and marketed properly I could see this growing beyond scope of what we could understand at this point and time. "simulation" games have been a growing market for years with games like Euro truck simulator and farm simulator growing a cult market and getting yearly updates. I think browser based versions of sports games make a lot of sense. If I had the company I'd immediately make a mobile version because most of the things that can be done in this browser can be performed in under 10-15 minutes and with proper optimization I feel this game could flourish in the mobile market, everything can still be hosted on this browser and delivered to a mobile platform.

however this is all speculation and my final answer is that I do not think WIS will die but possible entities like hoops dynasty could at somepoint fall off unless an investor picks them up.

The only game on this site with a possible demise is HBD. It requires humans to fill every slot in the specific world. Some worlds became horribly imbalanced or pits of dumbassery and now have a lot of issues filling. WifS has merged struggling worlds to reduce the number of openings but, unfortunately, when you merge a group of 120 win teams, somebody ain't gonna win 120. So they go back to a lot of openings. The HBD market MAY stabilize itself and have 100ish solid worlds or it may continue to eat itself.

But, as HD proves, 2/3 sim owners aren't really an issue in the other games.

I was trying to warn you gently. I'll be more direct - if I were WIS, I would delete such posts and ban you from the forums in order to protect my company from such statements on message boards that I provide.

But, I am not WIS, so good luck with whatever you seek to achieve with your "I could kill WIS" posts.

I took the high road like MikeT23 and left peacefully!!! All you guys are taking low blows at me and me and my channel are getting nothing for it. Hell I got a warning for advertising for my fans on my channel. Where Their is another giveaway and he didn't get ban himself.

Now note this to your left whiners that I could kill the game on youtube and exposed their customer support. But nah I am not the type of person to do that. I went to a free pro sim that needs some help and actually is a lot more peaceful and all the whiners in chat are gone from that game!!! Once I get good and winning games I will start posting youtube videos on that game immediately and help grow the game.

Goodbye and I think you overestimate yourself. Feel free to come back when you grow up and get a dose of reality. Maybe move out of your parents basement

My first year of youtube I spent 56$ of youtube advertisement money and got 4k views . It is still my largest viewed video to this day.

Now imagine me spending 70$ of advertisement it will reach my most viewed video by far. It will also be directed to whatifsports.com customer support and admin's. Compared to such little user gameplay I can expect that Fox doesn't want this at all.

I am still not gonna do this I will use it to support Buzzerbeater.com or Pokemon Go. But I imagine I want to keep google ads growing so I will probably never spend it. Unless I want to reach my goal of 30,000 views earlier in the year.
