So did this team totally underachieve and I'm just a bad coach? Top ten defense and a plus 10% FG margin and I end up a 4 seed in the PI.

Should I fire myself?

I guess I am curious why you don't run FB/press with that squad. You have very good ATH/SPD/DEF/STAM for D3 and a fairly deep roster.

Your backcourt is pretty good, but there isn't a front court guy on your team that I really like. You can't score inside at all and it shows in your stats.

I don't think your team underachieved as much as it was oddly constructed.

What is your distro set at?

i didnt look at all the pbps... but looks like you lost 6 times to really good teams. wouldve been nice to win one or two of those... but bounces didnt go your way.....

but that didnt keep you out of the NT... it was the three losses to awful teams... including first two games of season. i would look real close at those and see if maybe you should have played those differently or maybe it was just really bad luck

haase has got to be starting and shooting more

haase played 6.5 minutes per game in those first two games... might have cost you those games

zannin started 20 games and shot too much. he should be backup pg and distro of 1 or 2. in that role he is a great asset.

rebounding is weak at the 4... but that shouldnt have hurt you vs the bad teams... just the good teams


overall, i think there is alot of talent there, definitely should have been an NT team,

just need a little tweaking on gameplanning and distro and also i think you had a really unlucky year. your team was good enough to win one or two of those six vs good teams, but just didnt happen

and you should have beat those bad teams no matter who you start. and i wouldnt be shocked to see a good team to lose to one bad sim in a year... stuff happens... but to lose three times to bad teams is just really unlucky

i have wanted to fire myself dozens of times. ask anyone in my conferences. i wish the firings were more like real life... id love that. maybe give the guy who gets fired a free season or two as severance pay!

i suspended myself once and was posting as my ad and asstcoach.

several times i put 130 minutes into conditioning for a few days becuase i was so ****** off at my team

i think i would have played barnes more too . although i dont like his passing. but at least 15 min per game at backup sg sf and increased distro. should score 8 to 10 ppg at least i think

I've never switch my off/def since I started and I've always got crushed by the press. That's why I play Zanin more than he should. Distribution is mixed but mostly Kirts and Augustus, and Hill off the bench. I've got two decent inside scorers in Meyers and Welk but one can't defend and one can't rebound. I benched Welk cause I always loose the rebound battle with him.

Since I took over this team, I recruit mostly defenders and I thought this would be the year I made another run....(Elite 8) a few seasons ago with a lesser team. Lost the conf title by 2 because a Kirts 6 TOs and a final offensive rebound. Sums up the season.

grimace may be right ... but i respectfully disagree about switching to FB. by the time you get the IQs to a playable level.. youll have a whole new set of players who may or may not be great fit for FB

the thing i do like is if something isnt working.. you make changes. just a bad year i think. you;ll get back there

Took my dream D2 job at Fairmont State two seasons ago and I'm firing myself after limping through yet another disappointing campaign. I think we have some really good players, mostly D1 recruits, but I just couldn't get anything right (depth chart, distribution). I either tinkered too much or not enough, and making the players run until they puked wasn't working, so I'll mosey on back to D3. The thing about "dream jobs"? If they don't go as planned they're a nightmare. Anyway, chalk it up to bad luck and try to find the right combinations. Good luck!!
