Now i I understand why some people hate 3.0

The D2 HAD to be at least high, for him to sign. Not that it changes things if it was an ugly signing situation. Was it just the two of you in signing range? Or other schools as well?

It was just the two of us. Me at D+ FSU, him at B- Landers in D2

These players should not go D2. Sorry but it's my opinion. You did go 20hvs...

Y'all don't know, maybe he has family ties there. Maybe he grew up a Landers fan and is living his dream. #respekhisdecision

Looks like the D2 school did reach High on the consideration list (it's likely the D2 was the listed at Moderate but actually had more effort), the OP then tried to go all in but the recruit signed immediately and the OP got to VH and with the restriction lifted the D2 got to High.

At more than 2 full prestige grades, with a little division boost in there, you should have been able to knock Lander all the way out. I suppose if there was a significant preference disadvantage going against you, or if Lander had a big AP advantage, and he promised the full 25... otherwise, did you do some or all of the visits before promises?

I did half the visits during recruiting period 1 and the rest during the first cycle of recruiting period 2. Promises during the 11pm cycle where he signed

In the future, you may want to make promises before visits, if you intend to be willing to promise. I know the drawback then is that you may make promises you didn’t need to make; but you lost a lot of value on the visits, because the engine doesn’t retroactively go back and give you credit.

Especially since the recruit had the "Wants to Play" that was even more important as it would of likely doubled your effort (you would of likely pushed the D2 school to moderate even without it if you offered the promises up front).

I was shocked that he signed with me at lander. I did promise the start and 25 min. But once I saw you were very high I actually took away some AP so who knows. I guess my percentage was still high enough up to have a slight chance and then I just got super lucky.

Nice pick up mobbish. Maybe we should schedule a game in Iba so your SG and my JUCO Center can meet. They can talk about their preference for D2 schools or something.

I think teamvip might have us both beat. He got the #24 SG in Iba with a D2 school.

I bet that if you made the promise before the visits, you would have knocked the D2 off and had 100% chance

Teamvip has no competition in Florida... He has been dominant the last ten seasons (7 nts). We hope to see him in the NT at Pfeiffer and knock him out of the tournament.
