Don't reveal any more clues but answering this would help.

The 'what' is a clue in riddle form. The answer to the 'what' riddle is a clue for the 'who' riddle.

The 'who' is the answer that will win the Riddle Point.

Klay Thompson

Played on the USA Men's basketball team that beat Argentina and Spain in the 2016 Olympics and Slovenia in the 2014 World Championships. Clay (klay) is found in a lot of lakes and rivers (as the bed of those bodies of water,) is a soil type for land, is mentioned dozens of times in The Bible and has been in most churches I have walked into...usually as a part of the crucifix (wooden cross with porcelain Christ, and porcelain is nothing more than high-grade clay in the world of ceramics.) That's all I got.
