I've always wondered, why aren't the potentials of opponents shown?

You can actually see them after signings, if you just use the recruit pool featured and use to drop down menu to signed.

But I mean for everybody. Not just recruits.

I guess they figured with player potential only that particular team should have that information. Just as in real life.

Although, I don't think it's really impacting or exposing a team if it's viewable to the rest of the teams.

I disagree. I think in real life people see the potential of guys. People see what RJ Barrett can improve at and what he won’t improve in. It’s how scouts draft.

I guess the point is they don’t see guys in practice everyday, but it should at least be like viewing a recruit scouted to level 3.

After the non-conf schedule you can see where a player's potential is pretty easily. Potential and playing time have more to do with improvement than small practice minute differences. If a guy's average improvement is 5 points and ath is up by 8-10, he has high potential there. If he is improving zero, either he has no potential or has zero practice minutes going there. A negative change usually means they have decent potential AND zero practice minutes.

Still, why not just let people see potentials? There’s no reason.

Same with searching recruits by which teams they are considering (btw the 10-team list really is garbage), or showing FTA in a team or player's season stats, or any number of other EASY and harmless coding fixes. But this information is obtainable, and coaches who take the time to deep dive into play-by-plays and really scout and plan for opponents have the advantage over less motivated coaches who want everything at their fingertips instead of putting in the time...which is how is should be.

Don't change anything whatif...well...except the known problem with the 10-team list for recruits...giving clear advantage to schools that start with a letter in the second half of the alphabet.
