I wasn't putting the blame for the shutdown on anyone. I am putting the blame on Mr Trump for saying that Mexico would pay for the wall, and then shutting down the government when Congress won't agree to us paying for it.

The Senate passed a budget in December that would have funded the government without the wall. It passed 100-0. This would be over if Trump had signed that bill.

As usual, Trump lied, but somehow it is not his fault.
