This should be a fun thread. List the names of the people who are known to be abusing the Job Renewal double resource loophole. These folks are recruiting with double resources so have fun recruiting against them.

For those not aware. If you do not renew and get your job back through the job renewal process (someone needs to also apply for the job), your recruiting resources get replenished without any 'new coach reduction' penalty. It's been a well known issue since day 1 with the launch of 3.0 but Seble seems to think that no one is really abusing it.

Not doing it purposefully - just discovered it last time I forgot to renew, then noticed it, and I definitely think it should be closed. I was kind of shocked to have so many resources. I don't typically sign up for 5 or 10 seasons at a time, so sometimes I forget to renew.

Anyway, I won't be spending that extra money in Bucknell, where I just forgot to renew....and at HPU, I only had one guy to recruit locked up already.

It's technically a really exploitable loophole - until someone snatches your job from you, which is completely possible. Playing that game isn't worth it.

It’s being abused by guys with winning teams which is the crazier part about this all. You make the final four or win a title and then forget to renew; and over multiple instances. Not a chance. Once is understandable, but twice in a week. No way.

This type of cheating is way worse than what thewiz got crucified for (racist ******** antics aside).

The problem is, and the habitual offenders here already know this, the previous coach has a leg up. Because the system favors them no matter who applies. So I've heard that you've done this multiple times bbunch, by now, I'm sure you've realized you're not gonna lose your team. And that's why this continues with coaches doing it repeatedly

Well, only speaking for myself, I just discovered this loophole a season ago in one of my worlds (I believe Mt. Olive, not sure) - it does need to be closed. I don't think I have a long history of abusing it, and I can't even go back and figure out when I've used the magical extra funds in rd. 2 of recruiting.

The entire "forgot to renew process" and having to reapply, and then everything changes is strange in general. And I play one season at a time, and sometimes I forget renewal dates.....try to renew right away in the morning, and someone is already in comp for my job.

Yeah, I've done it a few times out of forgetfullness. Not every time, and not purposefully.

Either way, I don't play games to purposefully cheat. So it's duly noted, and I won't use extra any funds if I forget to renew again. I"ll be transparent about what I spend on players if yall want to call me out as well. Thats fine. I don't play to beat the system.

(by the way, I have lost teams in the past forgetting to renew - my 4 time title winning DII Iba Longwood team I lost for that reason - and transfered to Mt. Olive, where I never had the same success).

You’re at least owning up to being knowledgeable about the benefits of the loophole. Hopefully moving forward you’ll remember to use the auto renew button. You obviously have plenty of credits since you’re a winning coach.

Best to just own it. It’s easy to see who is and isn’t abusing this. There is a coach in Tark that’ll get added to the list tomorrow.

Didn't wizard manufacture all of his player ratings to the highest level by freshmen year purposefully by button mashing?

Either way, I responded right way, and I'm going to be transparent w/ yall if you have questions. But I don't sit around and see how I can "cheat the system". I didn't discover it until not too long ago and it blew me away, as most meaningful recruiting of course happens in cycle one. I posted immediately to the conference corner when I realized that it existed.

If you want to scream "cheater" at me repeatedly, I guess this is an internet forum, so have at it. But that's not my purpose.

Yep. I hope it get shuts down. And I'll try to remember to always auto-renew. It's frustrating that I'll have to do the math if gifted extra monies I didn't earn.
