Does anyone still want HD 2.0 back? Topic

For the fun of the game. I actually really want to make the game based on ratings and everything is a stepping stone until you get a ship then you get to decide on what team you want. However I want the volume to continue as we will never progress unless minor changes are made.

Hey All,

I played HD for 8 or 9 years consecutively and stopped in 2017 when HD 3.0 debuted.

I feel like if they ever brought HD 2.0 back, I would be back in a heartbeat. Do you guys feel the same way? Do people still want/clamor for HD 2.0? Just curious. Take care all.

Trevor
Hey Trevor!! Good to hear from you!! I'll vote for 3.0.

Id like 1.0 back. No potentials.

Build your team as you want to. Not as realistic but more fun.

I was unhappy with 3.0 for a long time, but it has grown on me. There is a complexity to recruiting that didn’t exist in 2.0. The rest of the game is pretty much the same.

Didn't play 1.0

At this point I prefer 3.0. Game engine is essentially the same, mobile experience is undeniably better, recruiting is more unpredictable than it was under 2.0 and I like the 6 hour recruiting cycles.

No disrespect to those who don't like 3.0. It's definitely a different game than it used to be, and it's harder to dominate over a long term now. I think that's for the good, but I know plenty of folks disagree.

I like 3.0 significantly more. Most of the guys who like 2.0 more either adapted or quit. A lot of them quit.....

My biggest issue with 3.0 is lack of humans but that's always been an issue.

I agree with everyone here. 3.0 is flawed but better than 2.0. Even with the occasional ridiculous "coin toss," recruiting is better too; A+ teams can't just buy all the best players anymore.

the rankings are much better in 3.0

Also, colonels, you should come back and give 3.0 a real shot. Maybe it'll grow on you like it did for others.

I think they could fix the issue of lack of human coaches if they let first time coaches recruit in their first season.. If your a new coach and randomly pick a team that is terrible and have to go thru a 7-21 season with no post season play...bye bye.

Hard NO ... 2.0 good riddance. Have totally adapted to 3.0 and like it a lot. Love the split recruiting now. Wouldn't go back.

I don't mind 3.0 but it is frustrating that a couple of glaring issues are not going to be dealt with. New coaches have almost no opportunity to do their own recruiting that really impacts competitiveness and should be fixed. I still think early entries are a problem. The disadvantage to teams who have early entries is unfair it should be addressed. Mostly the problem with 3.0 is that it is a poor orphan child abandoned by those who created it. No updates...no problem fixes no care whatsoever. The game was abandoned immediately after a major revamp and issues which could have been fixed making it undeniably better than 2.0 just continue to irritate many coaches.

It's tough for you to take your poll from the group that is here. As Trentonjoe said, most that would prefer 2.0 have left, so what you are going to see is a lot of pro 3.0, because that's all that remain. As someone who's played the game since 2008, personally I'd take 2.0, but I'm not a fan of the coinflip dynasty model of recruiting. Overall there are improvements in 3.0 that could have easily been made in 2.0 without a revamp, there are some additions that cae with the revamp that are welcome, and there are flaws in 3.0 that weren't issues before.

If you enjoyed the game as a whole, it's worth trying to adapt. I adapted enough to maintain some success, but don't enjoy it enough to put the time into the game I used to. Postseason credits are honestly the only reason I still play as my seasons basically pay for themselves. The real bonus here is so many people quit, it doesn't require a lot of effort these days.

As mully said, I do miss some of HD 1.0 and removing the limit of what your player can be, vs what your player has to be with potentials.
