The rules:

All players must be legitimate players at that position, having actually played it somewhat regularly, not, for example, an 1880s catcher that played SS a few times. Players can only play one appearane and only appear once on the team roster.

There must be 9 field players - 8 position players and 1 pitcher to qualify - 9 points minimum

There must be a starting 8 position players and four starters plus a reliever all with the same last name to get 13 points.

For the full preliminary16 points there should be all of the above plus a fourth OF, a fifth IF (not 1B however) and a backup catcher.

AFTER those preliminary points are assigned, we will all vote on how many points to give for:

Outfield quality (max 5 points)
Infield quality plus catcher quality (max 7 points)
Starting Lineup quality (max 4 points)
Pitching quality (max 7 points)
Max: 23 points, plus the max 16 points for positions being present

Haven't made the teams yet, but I expect the Davises and Martinezes would be interesting. Martinez might be the only name that has even a chance of holding serve against the Johnsons when it comes to pitching.
