My party? I'm a man without a party! But how many conservatives have successfully gotten left-leaning films banned on streaming services? How many professors are fired due to their left-leaning political beliefs? You have to be a little naive to say the right wields the same cultural power (and pressure) as the left. But, like I not so eloquently expressed, it hasn't always been the left! The Christian right from an era ago posed a similar danger (though without quite the same support from the major media). I have been on college campuses this decade. Let me tell you , they may preach diversity, but they certainly do not preach diversity of thought.

None of what you are talking about actually matters. Trump is working on restricting free speech as we speak. He's trying to ban burning the flag. He wants to expand libel laws to sue the press. He's currently trying to restrict polls that show him behind. He's trying to snuff out protests.

All of that ^^^^^^^ matters.

I don't give a **** what some dumbasses do on a college campus. It doesn't affect my life in the slightest. All I ask is that you stop talking about stuff that isn't important!

College campuses have always been a haven for ideological radicals. None of this expands into the wider discourse. If you aren't in college, it doesn't affect you!

Culturally, the right wields the same amount of power, if not more. They always control the narrative and the discourse. You just feel under attack.

I bet you are one of those people who thinks that the media is predominantly left-leaning. All of the right's whining about the number of "liberal" outlets, and they fail to understand how much this diversity helps them.

I live in Kansas. You honestly believe that where I live, PC culture is everywhere?

We are both admittedly biased on this issue, since we get outraged more over idiocy on the other side of the aisle. I hope you can at least understand that the issues I am talking about are on a massive, country-wide, political level, and you are talking about some leftists on a college campus wanting to keep you from watching Gone With the Wind or whatever.

Most of the "leftists" you see on Twitter don't actually go out and vote. They have zero political power. Only 20% of adults even use Twitter.

I do not see why it is even necessary to mention him. One, he is old. Two, he is just a problematic figure. Plenty of other non-problematic (and pro-feminist) musicians you can mention (doesn't even have to be a white guy ;) )
