On a scale of 1 to Donald Trump how sexist did you find Mike Pence to be last night?

All of his interruptions and mansplaining reaffirmed my hatred for toxic masculinity.

All in all, I'm beginning to think of Kamala as less of a centrist, which is good.

Pence isn’t masculine just a weird liar cloaked in religious hypocrisy who has no respect for people but especially women.

i think terms like centrist deflect from goals which go to right and wrong.

the stronger the national support for an issue the less useful are tags like left or right or center.

Might does not make right, nor does mass appeal. I believe progressive principles are correct no matter the level of national support they may possess. To be a centrist is to compromise on these principles.

When progressive Policies become mainstream they are not compromised.
even compromised implementation is progress until full implementation can happen.

a partial loaf of bread to a starving man is better then none until you can get a full loaf as long as you don’t agree that a half a loaf is perfect.

Compromise is relative.
you can compromise on details in a deal without compromising principles.

i believe in the theory of progress.
there are some things that can’t be conpromised
but you can’t make blanket statements that political solutions can’t involve compromise.

thats the way of all things in life including relationships
and politics.
you have to know when to stand ground and when you can compromise.
thats why we need smart and wise leaders.

You are falling into the trap of enlightened centrism. Why compromise with people who don't believe you have the right to exist? Look at the right's record on trans rights, even the moderate left (cough Jk Rowling cough). I live in a progressive college town and there are still way too many establishments that have strictly gendered bathrooms. You cannot compromise when your existence is at stake.

Pence is soulless, mindless, witless. A true bobbleheaded sycophant to the Party and the power it wields!

so. how does this work practically?

Because, if we have non-gendered bathrooms............then HOW do I keep myself from discovering things I don't wanna know, accidentally.

Like, Ussen forbid, IF I should accidently enter the wrong bathroom in Massachusetts and horridly discover whether trolleander pees standing up or sitting???
It's just WAY TMI, and I don't want to be mentally disturbed by stuff like that.

Plus, HOW do you mark the bathroom doors??
I just recently learned the international symbols for the mens and womens rooms.
I added it to all the other cute little door identifiers I've processed over the years like "Pointers" and "Setters"
But, WTH is the international symbol for a non-gendered bathroom??
A little pic of a hermaphrodite or something?? Maybe a dude with a big X over his genitalia??
Please them, educate me, you KNOW I need woke.

This is how all3 got his name.
he is versatile.

I think everyone should share a bathroom, tbh. Maybe an unpopular take around here.

WHAT does that mean??

Single holers or double?
Stall doors? or no?

Single rooms? or big multi-stall affairs?
Cologne dispensers or after shave?
What about tampons dispensers?
Or condom machines?

This is getting so complicated.

Completely agree. And the new businesses around here with progressive owners have been implementing this with no negative effects. It's especially helpful for us non-binary folk :)

This is the stupidest popular take, so no shock that you've gone straight there.

Go watch Pence's VP debate from 2016. If anything, he did more "mansplaining" against his white male opponent in that debate. Nobody called it toxic masculinity when the other participant wasn't a woman. What's more, Harris did THE SAME THING in THE SAME DEBATE and nobody's calling it "toxic femininity." In fact, I heard some of the same people who were criticizing Pence for "mansplaining" praising Harris for explaining things clearly, not just for Pence but for the general audience.

This is the problem I have with modern progressives. They want women and minorities to be treated equally until it's inconvenient, and then they want them to be treated differently. I'm totally on board with feminism through roughly the 70s. Since then things have really gone off the rails.

Yeah taking away jobs from men is ridiculous.
that is what you meant right.
what else could it be.

because I sure as hell don’t know what you are talking about.

This is the most ignorant statement I have seen on these forums in a long time.
