I'm not making this post to gloat. I'm just really excited and no one's awake to hug me.

I've been playing HD for almost six years. I never had any expectations of winning a title -- the combination of talent and luck is hard to get right The championship feels great. But doing it at my alma mater is so special. I can't believe the NT run we had, beating great teams the whole way, in tight games. My dad won a championship at Georgetown in Wooden a few months back. It's nice to have two titles in the family.

Anyway, what a great feeling.

Congratulations man! Not sure if you're aware, but that was the first ever title in 3.0 for Oklahoma State as well. AND pulled the Big 12 even with the Pac 10 for the most titles by a D1 conference!

First up, congrats to Pallas! We've been buddies for 4 years in this game, starting in Wooden when we scheduled each other when he was at Navy and I was at Weber State. Great to see his team finally break through.

Some great facts about this OSU team I've been following closely:

As Top said, first title for OSU in 3.0:
Heading into the CT, OSU had 0 players on the big board. SO Lamar Terry finished at 88 after their run, still might be one of the least impressive big board for a D1 champion I've ever seen.
OSU was only 9-7 in conference play, guessing that's one of the worst conference records to win a title in 3.0
OSU was 12-2 against Top 50 RPI teams outside of their regular-season conference schedule, including 8-1 against Top 25 and 4-2 vs the Top 10.
OSU was 4-6 against Top 50 RPI teams in their regular-season conference schedule, including 1-2 vs the Top 10
OSU was 11-4 against the Top 25 an 5-1 against the Top 5
