I'm a coach at a D3 school and have been targeting a D1 recruit since early on. He has an early signing preference. The 11pm cycle came and went where D1 recruits can sign with D3 schools and he didn't sign. His interest level in my school jumped from Moderate to Very High but he did not sign. The 5am cycle rolls along and he didn't sign AGAIN. Now a D1 human has offered and there is a good chance I will lose him. I sent CS a ticket after the 11pm cycle but no response. Has anyone seen this before?

PS. Yes, I have offered the scholarship and I have an open roster spot.

yeah I think something may have changed with recruiting. I have a guy who I have offered a scholarship and no one else has gone after him, but I'm not even Very High yet.

In Smith? I'm assuming it is some sort of glitch. However, it says it is still processing recruiting actions on the player. CS has yet to respond to me.

I saw some weird stuff in Smith last night and decided I was tripping and the system was fine.

Yeah my guy is in Smith. It's really weird. I don't know if they've adjusted things to make it tougher for D3 teams to get D1 players..... or if it's just really bad luck or something has gone wrong... but either way, I really need this guy lol

Mystery solved. I am an idiot. I had 6 openings and have already signed 5 freshmen. However, I redshirted a guy last year so he will still be a freshmen as well which would put me over the maximum number of freshmen allowed.

I thought technically they didnt sign until 5:00 AM EST on the last day of recruiting anyway, not 11PM the night before.

Nope - they start signing at 11 PM, 24 hours prior to the end of recruiting.

You’re positive the scholarship has processed? It says “Yes” on the recruiting home view under “Schol.“? If all true, my understanding is that you should be Very High by now, unless something has changed, or there’s a glitch.

I think sometimes players might have lingering considering effort from other teams that have “dropped off” your view, like if a D1 team had pursued the player and then withdrew a scholarship, they may no longer show up, but that effort *may* still be functioning to block you from advancing past moderate. If you remain the only team on him, he should eventually sign with you (assuming the scholarship has processed), but you may want to send a ticket.

Yes.

Just because you've put some effort into a kid doesn't mean you've put in adequate effort. Especially if you're a D3 going after a D1.

May be a bug, may not. My guess is it isn't.

Yup there's this weird thing that's come up once before you might need some more AP or something. Kinda weird

Admittedly it’s been awhile since I’ve played D3, and a very long time since recruiting under A+ at D3, so maybe it’s possible the process has changed and I just haven’t paid attention. But as of beta, the way the process worked, if you are able to offer a scholarship, the player is willing to sign with you. That means once he is *able* to sign with you (ie, when the red light has been lifted), if you are the effort credit leader, you should be listed as Very High consideration. The gatekeepers for D3 is giving enough attention to offer the scholarship, and then the green light.

I think most likely there is a ghost team from the first session with lingering effort credit, which is keeping tdiddy’s team at moderate for now, considering this is their first recruiting session at this school.
