Promised Minutes and Fouling Out Topic

I promised a player s start and 20 minutes plating time in recruiting.

Do games he starts and fouls out in count against his minutes promise? Here is the guy:

The games he fouls out in do NOT count. In most cases that benefits you, as often times they'll foul out in 6 minutes. Unfortunately there will be games where he fouls out and plays 27 minutes, and you won't get credit for that

Dont agree - the games he fouls out or gets injured do count against the promised minutes. ie - everything counts.

I believe that to be wrong mully. Based off community discussions. The injuries you mentioned, I have no clue on. But I believe the understanding is that foul out games do not count towards promises. Maybe admin wants to chime in here? (Now that we got ya, we're gonna keep you busy! )

Injuries do not count. I sent a ticket about that 4 months ago and was told the game in which a player is injured doesn't count toward minutes promises. But the player will expect to play at 60% health. Anything after that counts against minutes played (even if you rest him the whole game). Tangent from OP, but important nonetheless.

You get credit in a situation where they foul out and they meet the requirement

yep, I'm with top here.

If a player is under 70 health or they foul out and are under the minutes you promised them you're fine

Gil can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think he clarified once that it’s actually that foul outs don’t count against you *after a complaint.* Before a player complaint, everything counts. After a complaint, foul outs in which the player meets or exceeds minutes count in your favor, but don’t count against you. I don’t know if or how gil knows that for sure, maybe he’s BSing. Sounded like he clarified with seble or CS, if I recall. For whatever it’s worth.

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that overtime games don't count either, but I could be slowly slipping into the mental abyss of old age.

its definitely posted somewhere, but i don't remember exactly what it is. i think it goes like - foul out games before the first complaint still count towards the first complaint. i am pretty sure that is true. what i am struggling to remember is on the final bill, do you have to make up for the foul out games after the first complaint to guarantee no quitting, or are all foul trouble games discounted (if they hurt you) there?

This never seemed to be definitively clarified.

Just got a promised minutes complaint after 7 games that he is only getting 12 minutes (15 promised). Player fouled out of one game with 8 minutes.

In the six other games he averaged 13.5 minutes.

I thought foul out games did not count, but after reading here I see it mentioned, and this seems to confirm, that foul out games DO count BEFORE a complaint,

To count foul out games before a request but not count them after a complaint makes zero sense.

That, or this particular player isn't happy with 13.5 minutes and its right on the border of being acceptable. Remember that some recruits are more strict on their promise being fulfilled. Not all recruits would complain at 13.5 minutes, but I could see some complaining in that range. Especially if it's closer to 13.4 (it sounds like only a few games have been played so 13.4 may not be possible NOW. But over the length of the season it could be).

I could also see a complaint here if his game minutes were in this order (starting with game one)...... 18, 16, 19, 5, 7, 10, 4. I did not do any math to make it equal 13.5 minutes as an average so I'm sure it doesn't add up. My point was just showing that if the more recent games are well below 15 minutes, that could trigger a complaint

In his complaint he specifically mentions 12 minutes. There is no way to get to 12 minutes without the foul out game.
