When you have Matt Gaetz arguing that being criminally investigated for sex trafficking is being "cancelled," cmon. When Republicans complain that not getting book deals is being "cancelled," or losing elections is being "cancelled," or people not liking you is being "cancelled," anti-cancel culture has gone too far.
I agree that some elements of "cancel culture" (even though that term has lost all meaning, thanks guys) can be toxic, but at this point the right's opposition has veered into entitlement culture. "Give me what I want, or you're cancelling me." It's also anti-accountability culture.
