Wondering if anyone could at least be honest about THIS case.

If she was about to kill YOUR daughter and a policeman was nearby, what would YOU expect the police officer to do?

The "go to" response when honest and open discussion makes one a bit uncomfortable.

Plus you got Biden and LeBron already calling for blood, so why bother with fact finding at this point.

The questions of why shoot instead of tazer, and why 4 shots, both still need answered.
ALL police need held accountable for ALL their actions, and sometimes they, like all humans, make mistakes. Unfortunately, far, far too many people want to label those mistakes as something else, to benefit their own agenda. This appears to be one of those times (although I read where several "stars" have deleted their original Twitter posts regarding the incident). EVERYONE should wait until ALL the facts are known before making any judgement about this, or any such, incident.

So if I'm reading this correctly the answer to
"If Ma'Khia was attacking YOUR child"?

So far there's two of you who are responding with:
"I'd like for him to try and stop my child's attacker with a taser first"?

Is that accurate?

Sadly, if the officer had simply allowed Ma'Khia to kill the other little girl and then arrested her, this story wouldn't have even gotten any national coverage.

Yes? Obviously a police shooting of a 16 year old happening simultaneously as the verdict for Chauvin was being read is going to get news coverage.

Do you, in fact, have any children?
Nope. But I would say the same about any of my loved ones. The girl was 16. I refuse to believe we can't find another way besides shooting to kill.

I for one don’t have enough information on this one.
I don’t care about the age of the girl after the fact.
she was a big girl and her age was not the relevant issue even if the officer was privy to knowing it.
I want to know how close she was to the woman she was allegedly attacking and was she in motion.
was an attack likely or imminent and again what was the proximity.
Also it is highly relevant if she already stabbed someone.
sldo I want to know how close was the police officer. Was he even close enough to be able to successfully taser her before she stabbed someone.
It could have been a split second window of thinking.

im not going to prematurely come to a conclusion on this one.
and it certainly does not sound like murder or manslaughter from what I do know but I need to hear much more.
