The idea is to have a basketball league game of survivor. After games #20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 the six managers in each division will vote off one player from a team in their division. Six teams, six votes, six players will be exiled in each division. However, it will make a difference if your player is voted off after game #20 or game #70. After a player is voted off of a team, that team will be immune from the rest of the votes. If a team wins 10 games in a row they will earn immunity and a player can not be voted off of their team until the last vote. If a second team wins immunity in the same division, they will have immunity until the vote after game #60.

We will try having a $60 million salary cap, because everyone will lose at least one player and that player will probably be worth $9 million or more. NO CLONES. Once a player is voted off, that player must be put on rest and they can not ever play again. If they play again it will lead to a forfeiture of that game.

If this is popular, it would be easy to tweak the league from season to season. Maybe six votes and $55 million. Maybe keep it at $60 million, but vote 12 players off instead of 6. Maybe at some point we could have a draft to choose the teams and then vote people off. I'm open to suggestions.

Am I the only person here who has ever watched Survivor?

Really cool idea. Seems like it would be an absolute beast to enforce, though.

One way to do it is to just check the rest box by the player's stats and hit the save rest settings.

Another way to do it (possibly better) would be to have rookies, send the exiled player down, call up a rookie, and then check the rest box for the rookie so he won't play.

We would also need to decide how to proceed if there is a tie vote. One thought I had was to have the other division leader in the same conference cast a tie breaking vote if necessary.

This is a modified version from a baseball league I used to play in. It was a dodgeball league where there were four teams of six baseball teams (one in each division) and we would "hit" an opposing player from a different team with a dodgeball and that team would be forced to release that player. It was the most popular league I ever played in.

If anyone has any questions about this league or ideas how to make it better I am all ears. (Not really, I have hands and feet and all kinds of stuff.)

Just imagine that some inferior manager to you has gotten lucky and his record after the first twenty games is 16-4. You, who happens to be the best manager ever, has had bad luck and instead of being 20-0 you are somehow only 8-12. Is the season over for you? No! Are you just going to quit? No! You're going to vote off the best player from his team and pretty soon you'll be 28-12 and he'll be 20-20. Who's going to have fun? You are!
