One of my best friends (RIP) introduced me to this game when I was a sophomore in college. 13 years later I’ve finally won my first National Title.

13 years ago, I was a Minnesota transplant living in Nashville, just starting working at a clinical research organization. When I started traveling as a clinical research monitor, UAB was one of the first sites I was assigned, and I kept that site for as long as I did that job, until 2014. Birmingham is a really interesting city. Neat botanical garden there, also Jim n Nicks BBQ was one of my favorites of all the places I got to eat while on the road. Very important civil rights history there as well, of course. I liked that city a lot. It’s one of the schools I’ve been meaning to play as a mid-major stop at some point.

Also that S16 game with UK almost makes me want to jump back in Tark.

Congratulations on the title Baums, your team has been a tough matchup for a while! I wonder what it was about your S16 game that got Shoe so inspired...

That was an interesting game, 238 points, but you went +4 and they only took 1 three? Hmmm, maybe Shoe thinks that HCP/zone will play in tark.

Haha, I’m kind of bored with the combo, been pushing FB/press on the new teams I pick up recently.

congrats! UAB has looked fantastic the last couple seasons in tark, which is all i am familiar with - somewhat shocked that is your first title - congrats! i can't imagine the second will take nearly as long
