Removing my ten teams, the regression formula has a very strong positive correlation coefficient of +0.55 (i.e., 1.00 represents a perfect correlation).
Through 128 games, the regression formula for expected wins is 73.4 - 0.751 * Draft pick
Picking 1st, your expected wins would be 72.7.
Picking 24th, your expected wins would be 55.4
So there is a very strong correlation to picking early and team's success. (Every draft spot improvement is worth 0.75 wins)

UNLESS you are me.

My correlation coefficient is even stronger, but negative at -0.65 (normally, thejuice6 leagues are around +0.15 to +0.30).
The regression formula for my ten teams is 59.4 + 0.975 * Draft pick
Picking 1st, my expected wins would be 60.4.
Picking 24th, my expected wins would be 82.8.
This correlation is even stronger than above, albeit negative. Every draft spot improvement is worth -0.975 wins).
