i don;t understand and have never understood a single benefit to opening a new world besides the 4th 2x world which most people clamoring for a new world dont even play 2x worlds.

great you want to crater the already bad populations for what? the same coaches who dominate high d1 to beat you to the same high d1 jobs you think you'll get in a new world.

0 benefit besides the extra 2x world.

Well, a race to the top in a new world is quite fun. Everyone starts in D3, so there are no coaches who dominate high d1 to beat you to the same high d1 jobs , unless you don't get good recruits and win the first several seasons. Everyone starts out at exactly the same place. Everyone has the same opportunity.

almost every coach at these jobs people want to race to will wipe the floor of the people racing them and end up at the same jobs. theres no benefit a new world isn't going to attract new coaches. current coaches will play regardless of a new world and instead a new world would otentially get new coaches to drop teams in exisiting world or at best artificall;y inflate a new worlds population for a year or two

Sure, a NEW world would be more for CURRENT coaches, not necessarily to bring in new coaches. But, as a business, they have to also get current (old) customers to pay more money as well as bring in new customers paying new money.

D1 is very crowded now in most worlds, at least the power 6 conferences. So a new world would, in the long run, open up more D1 teams as well (assuming not everyone would add that world and keep all their other teams).

I would certainly take a team in a new world. Would I also drop a team in an old world? Not initially. That is at least one paid new season for them.

I’m glad someone else said it first. I’m usually the first grinch that shoots this down. I agree there’s zero point In opening a new world. I’m sure I’d join if it was a 1x world. And I wouldn’t if it was a 2x. But what else is new? There’s plenty of empty worlds to choose from now.

fun for a minute. But not that fun. Nor necessary

HD 3.0 design is fundamentally flawed and isn't intended for 130+ coaches in a D1 world. I would argue populations are too high in D1 and too low in D2/D3 which is another issue

It would also just be exciting for the community. 95% of people playing right now have never had the experience/excitement for a new world, and given we haven't gotten game updates in what...6 years? Firings never got implemented. Adam probably made the game worse with the D1 FastPass after he overinflated D1 populations. The devs have an easy road out to give us something fresh with a new world.

I think it would be 18 months of pretty solid novelty. I'm pretty optimistic D3 would fill up in the first year. That would be fun in itself.

So instead of clamoring to fix the issues with the update and the new population at D1 you want to get rewarded with a novelty item that does nothing to bring in or fix any existing issues as a distraction that will entertain people for a year or so?

As always a new world has been consistently the second worst idea spouted on the forums for the last 10 years.

"The update and jobs screwed up the game instead of fixing it devs just please distract us with this novelty new world"

Those first couple of seasons would be great for sure. I don’t disagree there. Blood bath!! There would be more rolls in one season than we’ve ever seen! But it would fade quickly I would think. I think you and I have agreed on needing more developmental players that are suitable for D1 or aka too many coaches, not enough players. Imagine that times a lot more.

For a season or two, we’d be saying “check out this great prospect I got. 12 green ATH/DEF/LP and 38 blue REB. He’s gonna help the team a lot!” with all the dispersed talent (or lack of!)

Im in, A new world maybe brings in an influx of cash and they can use that money to make the product better. If you don't like it or want it. Don't sign up. But, I have a feeling even those saying it's a bad idea would join.

Topp addressed this above. It is something most of the community would jump on, even those who don't believe it's a good idea, but for long-term health of the game: is it good to have another 1/4 - 1/2 filled world? Is potentially diluting every world even further worth the short-term boost in money? Maybe, I don't know.

I would 99.9% not start in a new world if it was ready tomorrow. I've thought that for some time. I don't think it's a good idea but I also don't hold anything to gain from a new world since I wouldn't join; just potential loss in long-term competition within the worlds I'm already present. Some coaches don't like D1, some D2, some D3. I genuinely don't enjoy D2 or D3 and that alone would push me away from joining.

What if it was a 4-a-day world, same cycles as recruiting. This way its new so there's more of a reason for adding it. Could dial it back to 2-a-day during the national tournament.
