An unfortunate end to an otherwise fun league. I had to disqualify Redwingscup from the playoffs because of the 600 PA rule. He missed it by 6 PA. Towards the end of the season (when it became more critical to do so) I failed to check figuring that everybody would be ok. I was wrong. I am sure that it was an accidental oversight on his part but he in fact did miss it. He missed with Gary Carter. Being that he was in the WC hunt the whole way I am sure he would have made sure to get Gary Carter more PA. I am very sorry and apologize to Redwingscup for failing to take notice and issue a warning.

While I have to admit I'm bummed about losing my playoff position, it was totally my fault that Carter missed his 600 PA requirement by a mere 6 appearances. I was aware of the rule earlier on, but it sort of faded from memory. I really don't see it as Winnetka's responsibilty to warn players when they're going to blow it. The fact of the matter is I could have moved Carter up in the order, but I didn't so will now follow the playoffs from the sidelines. Good luck to all qualifiers.
