i decided to go for boards/defense over scoring/assists with the hope that ill win games 110-100 with garnett and buse providing just enough assists and maybe even a few nice assists games from hakeem

"screw work"... or, "my day job sucks, i'm goin' fishin'... or, well, a bunch of things rolled up into one. it's just what your team reminds me of... for example, i can see hardaway now, jawing with oscar, and oscar throws his arms up and and says... Part of me was hoping Moncrief would fall to me, but I've secretly known for about three rounds that I wanted Alex English on this squad. I thought about another chucker (there are still plenty out there), but in the end decided on offensive balance. English gives me very efficient mid-range scoring, and some nice assists as well. I looked at other guys with better defense but inferior eFG%.

One wrinkle with this starting unit is an excess of usage, but this was always going to be a running bunch so hopefully I won't be wasting too many theoretical possessions.

I'm underwhelmed by 98average's squad so far, but 1) he's a much more accomplished owner than I am so I assume he has an intelligent plan at work, and 2) I notice he hasn't spent as much on his starting five as most of us. This leaves me thinking that the other shoe has yet to drop - he's poised to add some crucial help from the bench.

one thing about your supposed excess usage, brad, is that your 22.1%+ guys don't have a ridiculous amount of possessions. Dwight, for example, barely has 1000 fgs... bigshot, too... (thus I'm saying you'll be okay)
