This is the knife-twisting round for me, sifting through the crumbs at the tail end of three rounds of SG-eligible players. Plenty of serviceable dudes , but few if any that fit my needs exactly and none that are standouts in a $47 mil league.

that's why I took Kobe in the SF round.. would rather have one of the top SG/SFs than a SF or SF/PF who isn't in the top tier of their position so early in the draft.

and I totally forgot about Wade but probably would've taken Kobe anyway. He may have better or more seasons available at 100% SF than Wade.

and scud, thanks for the nice review.. when I was in macau I went to a small restaurant inside a shopping mall near the Grand Lisboa hotel and was bombarded w/ offers from all the scantily clad girls walking back and forth in it.

then I thought to myself as I was eating my bowl of congee watching them through the window like fish in an aquarium.. are these the Portuguese delights scud was talking about, all those girls are Chinese lol
2/18/2010 12:03 PM
lol... not those delights... china is getting crazy with window girls. anyway, maybe mama ming retired. lol. its been about 3 years since i saw her and her portuguese delights.

and badja, u whuss! that is the way u spell it. your variation is of the lower caste system deriving from the antiquated, and often over-used roman-venetian vernacular... from the word woostus. lol.

still, no matter which way ya dice it, willis the wuss...

I will pick soon enough aha
2/18/2010 11:25 PM
emp....i love what youve sone so far...gallatin was a great pick with his boards and ftas...with him, wilt, billups, and james...teams will be in foul trouble a lot...you have tons of assists(depending on the wilt you use)....good paint scoring and billups and lebron shoot 3s....but im def not a fan of the maggette pick...i think there was guys that would have made this the toughest team so far imo....corey isnt one of them....im guessing you took him to further dominate from the line...which hes good at...but i think his usage is too high and he doesnt have one season with an efg% over 50...his a/t is crappy and he doesnt shoot the 3 ball well....i just think you had options for a more efficient wing in that spot...of course ive always hated him as a rl player so that may just be carrying over here
2/18/2010 11:56 PM
dh, i thought about him long and hard, and decided that i would need a high usage guy to come in off of the bench. . .obviously someone like dantley would have been better, but corey gets me close to what i want. . .

and yes. . .lots of foul trouble. lots. glad you see where this is going.

I really didn't want Shaq and waffled a long time between him and another (still undrafted) dude, but I needed his slightly superior oReb% and he fits well into my plan to emphasize efficiency from the field and a barrage of free throws.
2/19/2010 9:09 AM
LTB, I was hoping to get Shaq cause I thought Jabbar would be gone. Never really thought either one would make it through to me though, so I'm happy. At least until the games start.

Hmm, I may wake up in a sweat in the middle of the night and propose a trade. For now, I'll try to stomach the medicine I just poured for myself.

I am a bit jealous of how the draft turned out for Swollen. I think most of us are going to be looking for pieces that just can't fit due to money issues. Nice picking on Spencer; I think that the B/C+ should improve
2/19/2010 3:32 PM
I think Spencer Haywood can only be a burden for your team. I'll take him off your hands. ; )
