I could certainly point to too many examples of what I'd consider condescending remarks from those proclaiming to be Christian, I could find a good amount from the other side as well.

However, another thing I believe I could find examples of is where one person makes a statement or presents an idea, and someone else takes offense unnecessarily.

That both instances seem to frequently happen, it may be that no good can come from further dialog

In the discussions we were having I think that is false equivalency.
if I’m counting correctly only 4 people were in it and only one went over the line.

I do not question his right to speak his mind but it did not belong in a constructive and intelligent discussion which actually was a dialogue.

I think it's a natural phenomenon that everyone experiences and in some instances manifests in verbal utterances observable by others.

I dont know that the reasons for this manifestation is similar enough among them that assigning a universal term for them would be useful.

1st of all I didn't hijack anything. The subject was broached at the bottom of page 4. I didn't chime in until page 6, essentially admonishing what I saw as religious bashing.

That the subject appears to have gained more traction that the original op isn't my fault.

What a HORRIBLE example and attitude from someone who shouts the most loudly about how committed they are to the teachings of Christ.

It's no wonder that folks flee from those claiming to be Christian and who are "only here to help save you".

If I'm a non believer and THAT'S an example of the "love of Christ", that you claim is so desperately missing in my life, I sure wouldn't want any either.
