The old 6 foul game. Didn't realize it was the NBA. Haven't seen this one yet. Nice. Also, while we both ran uptempo FCP and I had a huge discrepency on foul totals (I should have as I had a huge SP/ATH advantage), I would not expect to necessarily shoot more FTs than FGAs? Seems excessive.

Calloway, the six-foul thing happens when all but four of your players foul out  - you can't play shorthanded 'cause that would REALLY screw up the engine.

Going into a game against a team that is 0-5 and I'm a 15 point favorite at home.  I manage to lose by 29.  Not sure if this is part of an engine problem or just a random event, but needless to say, I'm a little confused.

your teams are rated the same except erskine has better iq's, he's played a tougher schedule and you already know game lines aren't that accurate.

there are legitimate kinks to work out in hd, this game doesnt exhibit any of them.

Cool, thanks...just wanted to see if anyone saw anything that I might have missed!

What tweaks were made to rankings, and would they have caused a #11 rated team to lose on the road to another ranked team and fall 14 spots in the rankings?

They just played 2 games in non conf in 1 night. One of the 2 teams was bloomfield, which is his conf mate. Teams should not be playing 2 teams in 1 night, and they certainly shouldn't be playing conf games during non conf. This started becoming an issue once you mentioned you were still running 2 engines. Did you move schdueling to another engine? I don't know why they are jacked up, but this mess up is really going to hurt his RPI.

Rankings have completely flipped in the other direction.  Teams are falling 20 spots after losing a single game.  That seems like an over-correction to me.

Might want to check out the 3 point shooting in this game.  Favored by 68 to a Sim and lost by 10.  I would particularly focus on his two players who lit me up from three, their ratings, and my guys ratings.  Don't think this one makes much sense.........

Is it any wonder I'm cutting my teams from 13 to 7?  And very soon down to 5?  I'm at 10 right now and will be down to 7 after Iba and Allen end their seasons.

Bear in mind my Oklahoma State team beat these guys by 11 on the road. Here's the rematch at our place:

http://whatifsports.com/hd/GameResults/BoxScore.aspx?gid=5981344

Not only do we go 9-22 from the line AT HOME, the ROAD TEAM shoots THIRTY-EIGHT free throws. That's an absolute crock.
so at the core of this you're mad that a team you beat on the road...beat you on the road?

the games are pretty damn similar...

Couple of the biggest changes that need to be addressed all deal with fouls and free throw shooting IMO.  Still way TOO MANY fouls being called at this point with the new engine.  Last two games have had well over 55 fouls between the two teams in my last two games.  One opponent had 19 fouls in the first half alone, before finishing the game with 35 fouls total.  I have seen players with solid defensive ratings and IQ's foul out in under 10 minutes which shouldn't happen.

Another part of this that needs to be changed is the amount of missed free throws that are rebounded by the shooting team.  Very rarely does this happen in real life, but seems to be happening fairly often since the new engine was put in place.

Something that was in place with the new engine that is no longer being used which I think needs to be is subing out a player with fatigue issues who just made a free throw.  In the old engine he would be able to be replaced after a made free throw and not wait for the next stoppage in play.  However that does not seem to be the case in the new engine.  Can this please be put back in?

i just came across another big man shooting way above what he should be from beyond the arc:

http://www.wisjournal.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=0&pid=1582265

39 SPD (pretty good for a DII big man)
14 PER (bad)
2 BH (really bad)

this stud managed to go 12/34 from beyond the arc as a freshman - 35% with bad IQ.
as a sophomore, he's started off 8/14 for a blazing 57% so far

the thing i've noticed about the weird 3pt shooting with big men is that it often seems to be Cs more than PFs.  the only reason I can see this is a C with decent speed might have the ability to get open on a slower C, but it seems like SPD matters way more than PER & BH for big men.
