and then after a coach that was listed in the OP of this thread has consistently not renewed, meaning each and every season still, I looked into things a little more and got this.......

this is ridiculous. Not only is it not closed, but CS lies to us now. Unreal. People are still taking advantage of this

edit...... please hold judgement on this. As I just received a sitemail from CS that now they DO believe it's closed and they are looking into it. If they confirm it's closed I will add that here. If they do not confirm, I will be back to sling poo everywhere. Haha.

For those who dont think it's a big deal...... consider recruiting against someone that has 3 openings, they go all in on 1 target, and spend the rest on target 2 in RS1

new set of resources come in, and now they can go all in on the 3rd target on RS2 and put the remaining money on target 2 mentioned above

effectively going all in for 3 players with 3 openings at D2.
still view it as no big deal?

Oh, this is a huge deal. Don't think CS is lying to us. Just guessing Sammantha/Seble didn't communicate fully on this.

Ok so I'm a little torn on this. The general answer that I was given was in fact that seble and samantha hadn't communicated and their final answer was "no resources are given out to coaches that renew their team that they just had". So if that's true, then cool.

but the reason I'm torn is because the entire reason I asked the question. I can't remember who or where, but just very recently a coach was fighting to get him team back. I think one name involved was angmar or something like that. And maybe piman314 was the one that forgot to renew and tried to get his team back from the angmar guy (if I'm wrong on these names guys I'm really sorry. I'm trying to help jog the memory of anyone reading)

anyways, the coach was given his team back, and I'm almost certain he said he got full resources but did not use them out of good faith. Which is fantastic by the way. Does any of this ring a bell?

Point is, if someone got full resources recently for this, it created the question in my mind that maybe everybody is still getting the resources that's re-hiring at the same school. So I asked.

Is it possibly because the team actually changed hands, and had to be manually switched out, bypassing the normal jobs/rehire process? Other guys have reported this loophole has been closed (I hope you’re not suggesting they are lying). If that’s not *always* true, it should be, I don’t think that’s very controversial.

I’m glad you clarified with CS, hopefully that gets this last “loophole“ closed - or better yet, the jobs process fixed. I’m also glad I clarified with you here publicly that this is likely a very limited situation, so when people have conference mates that forget to renew and then come back, they don’t automatically assume they’re trying to cheat.

It was a step by step process. I did suggest they were lying to us. Because "at that point" I asked if the loophole was closed and they said no. So at that moment in time, that's what we were left with.

as far as "assuming they're trying to cheat", my comment was centered around 1 person. One person I have very good proof that it was his intent to do so. He admitted it in writing. I'm not assuming everyone does anything. Each situation is unique to its own surroundings

FWIW, after my much-derided return to Kansas upon forgetting to renew 2 seasons ago, I did get full resources again... I'd guess that was like June or July, too lazy to look it up.

Chose not to use the money for fairness reasons-- felt lucky enough to have my team back that I didn't want to feel dirty using resources I didn't earn.

If we want seble to insert into the jobs process to help forgetful coaches get their jobs back, with all the coach-switching that entails, this is probably the price we have to pay. It totally makes sense the system would work this way, I don't understand why anyone is being dramatic about it.
