A $9 million player going in the 23rd round. Unbelievable. For me, my third OF was between Manush, Cuyler and Klein. I took both Cuyler & Klein.

Actually, the depth of outfield is why I drafted somebody like Frisch over Cobb.
really enjoy these drafts but i think i prefer the franchise version better because there's not SO much talent. felt a bit lost during this one since there are just so many good options at nearly every position.
I'll wait a few weeks before cranking out the next version... which will be a franchise version.
can't wait! i also want in your next 12x12 or 16x16 draft i saw in the forums. those look like a lot of fun.

The 16x16 is an unbelievable drafting experience. Will let you know next time I start one up.

I have a special player in mind for pick #26. And will be the inspiration for my team name.

The same player, by the way, who happened to be the 2nd pick of this draft.

I think 3day has to pick a ballpark so I'll just post my final pick now: 1922 Elam Vangilder

So, given this was a 3-player draft at the top, who would you all have taken with #4?

Also curious if schwarze was really considering League Park or not given I burned a 14th rounder on it!

I actually would have been fine picking 4th in this draft. I wouldn't have take Gehrig 3rd. In fact, had Hornsby went #1, I would have strongly considered taking Dazzy Vance at #2. In my opinion, he's by far the best pitcher in this decade. Outfield is so deep, I may have passed on Ruth, given that 8 teams in the division are throwing deadball pitchers. I only took Hornsby because of his super high AVG and the fact he plays 2B.

I wasn't considering a ballpark that early and I was also trying to keep my options open as Hornsby & Ken Williams do have a little HR pop. And I added Klein later. There isn't a lot of HR power in the 1900's and 1910's so I do want to have some home field advantage against those teams so I probably was never taking a big negative HR park. I almost took the Baker Bowl to see if I could score 8+ runs a game. But that park had HR factors a little too high for my taste. I do have a lot of doubles and triples and since there aren't a lot of big triples parks in the 1920's, I went with Sportsman III (which I don't think I've ever used before).
